Oma to Devin Smith, Tyler Bamford, and Nickolas Bamford.She is also survived by her family in South Africa. In Port Elgin on Friday, February 14th, 2003, with her loving family by her side, after a courageous battle with brain cancer, the former Margaret Gibson of Port Elgin, in her 66th year. Loving and devoted mother of Brinda Smits and her husband Norman of Port Elgin, Gary Ball and Deborah Gaylor of Hamilton, Debbie and her husband Jim Ladd of Southampton, Kathy Schultz of Peterborough and Teresa Ball and Bruce Laurie of Hamilton.Will be missed by brother Charles Gibson and his wife Betty of Ancaster and by the children’s father, Russell Ball. Fondly remembered Aunt of Sandra, Kim and Jennifer. Dedicated and cherished grandmother of Norinda, Erin and Sherry Smits, Michael and David Ball, Elisha and Robin Ladd, Nira, Tegan and Kylie Schultz, and Joshua and Hayley Laurie. Loving husband of the former Effie Norris. Devoted father of Lynda and her husband Bryan Le Blanc of Port Elgin, Bob and his wife Sherry of Whistler, BC, Don of Revelstoke, BC, Wendi and her husband John Dawson of Tagish, Yukon and Paul and his wife Jeanine of Craig Lake, Yukon. Cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Loving brother of Helen and her husband Wilf Ottman of Kitchener and Evelyn Delany of London. Brother of Edith and her husband Charles Stewart of Meaford, Margaret and her husband Howard Chappell of Saugeen Township, Mike and his wife Doreen of Kingston, and Louise and her husband Leonard Neeb of Bruce Township. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lauren and Jesse, his sister-in-law, Joyce Atkinson, and by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Ted.

At the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, on Tuesday, December 7th, 2004, at the age of 92 years, Bob Atkinson of Paisley. Husband of the former Margaret Blue and the late Doris Harbord. Father of John and his wife Beverley of London, Micheal and his wife Alexina of Port Elgin, Douglas and his wife Judy of Paisley, Jim Blue and his wife Elaine of Paisley, Carol of Midland, Jeanette and her husband Richard Ash of Hanover, Nancy and her husband Brian Ash of Peabody, and Kim and her husband Larry Martini of Arkwright. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren and by his great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by three brothers and one sister.

She is survived also by seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Sister of Ross Stansal of Toronto and Jean MacArthur of Owen Sound. Marie Appell
passed away suddenly at the KW Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital on Wednesday, December 31st, 2003 at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Robert Appell for the past 62 years. Loving mother of Melvin and his wife Marie-Anne Boulain of Hillsburgh, and David and his wife Lisa of St. Albert, Alberta. Proud and loving grandmother of Andrew and Shayla Appell, and great-grandmother of Clay Robert. Marie is also survived by her sisters Violet Barnick of Kelowna, B.C., and Doreen Bradburn of Guelph. She is predeceased by her daughter Diane Appell and by her brother George Winfield.
Marie was born in Guelph on June 2nd, 1923 and after marrying Bob lived on Sheridan Court in Kitchener for 32 years. In 1986, Marie and Bob retired to Port Elgin to fulfill their dream of living on the water. While in Kitchener, Marie was a member of Highland Road Baptist Church and in Port Elgin attended the Port Elgin United Church. Marie held several leadership positions within the community including being a founding member of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, President of the KW Arthritis Society, Jaycettes and the Kiwanis Queens.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Marie with her family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Marie's life and faith will be held at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, on Monday, January 5th, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Gordon Williams officiating. Immediately following the service, friends are invited to join the family at the Port Elgin United Church for refreshments and a time to visit.
Following cremation,Interment will take place in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau.
