Werner Graf
GRAF - WERNER L. GRAF, deeply loved father of Colin, father-in-law of Zena, grandfather of Tessa, Lottie and Adrian, at home in his sleep on Saturday May 22, 2004. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 44 years Doreen (nee Stubbs), July 2001, and his parents Dr. Herbert Graf and mother Liselotte. Werner is survived by his sister Ann-Kathrin Graf of Geneva, Switzerland. Retired from Lambton College in 1998, Werner will be missed by the many students whose lives he touched in 30 years of teaching music, speech, drama, and English there. He will also be remembered for his may summers of dedication to the Lambton Youth Theatre training young actors and presenting free theatre to audiences in the schools and open-air places of Sarnia, Lambton County and across south-western Ontario. Werner was born in Czechoslovakia, lived in the United States, and brought his family history and experience of theatre, opera, and classical music to Sarnia in 1969. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia Wednesday 7-9 p.m.. A celebration of Werner’s life will be held Thursday May 27th, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel. ROBBINS - After a courageous battle with cancer, with his family at his side at Bluewater Health - Palliative Care on June 6, 2004 GARRY T. ROBBINS, age 54 of Sarnia. Loving husband of Margaret (Million) for 34 years. Cherished father of Tim and his wife Andrea, and Jeff and his fiancée Sarah. Dear brother of Gayle Olson and her husband Fred. Son of Simone Robbins. Brother-in-law of Robert Million and wife Juvy, Lyn Munday and husband Brad, Laurie Million, and Barb Robbins and son-in-law of Eileen Million. Predeceased by father Bill and brother Bill. Garry recently retired from Dow Chemical with 35 years service. He will be fondly remembered by many family and friends. BRAYBROOK - At Sumac Lodge on Tuesday, February 17, 2004. FRANK LORAINE BRAYBROOK , age 84 of Sarnia. Beloved husband of the late Jeannine (2003). Dear father of Louise & her husband Derek Brazier, Philip, Paul and David Braybrook all of Sarnia. Grandfather of Chelsea. Predeceased by brother William and sisters Agnes and Dorothy. Mr. Braybrook was veteran of W.W. II having served with the R.C.N.V.R. and a retiree of Dow Chemical. A private graveside service will be held at Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia. A public memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2004 at Canon Davis Memorial Anglican Church, Russell St., Sarnia. HAMILTON - Gone to play horseshoes with his buddy George Wilson on Saturday, July 31, 2004, HOWARD 'HAMMY' HERBERT HAMILTON, age 63 of Sarnia. Beloved husband of the late Gloria (Gallaway)(2000). Dear father of James & his wife Bonnie, Janet & her husband Tom Hurst and Jodi Hamilton all of Sarnia. Loving grandfather of Duncan and Cameron Hamilton, T.J., Nikki, Lena and Emily Hurst and Dustin and Dora Hamilton. Brother of Alexander Hamilton, Devon, Alta., Steve Hamilton, Flint, MI., Karen De Long, Sarnia and Charlotte Manser, North Bay. Hammy was a member of the Sarnia Kiwanis Club and twice received the Kiwanian of the Year Award. He was co-founder and coach of the Sarnia Wheelchair Sports Association for several years. Gertrude MacDonald
MacDONALD - Peacefully at Bluewater Health - Mitton St. Site on Wednesday, August 4, 2004. GERTRUDE MAE (ROLSTON) MacDONALD, in her 91st year of Sarnia. Beloved wife of the late John A.(1962). Survived by daughter Marion Pettit, Sarnia and daughter-in-law Judy and Richard Hagle, Bothwell. Loving grandmother of Stacey (David) Hyatt, Suzanne (Perry) Millson and Brett (Angela) MacDonald. Also surviving are several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Russell and Maude (Clarke) Rolston, sons Robert (1960) and Raymond (1992) and brother Harold Rolston. Gertrude was originally from Bothwell and moved to Strathroy where she enjoyed nursing for several years. She then moved to Sarnia where she spent the last 2 ½ years at Sumac Lodge. Visitation at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia 2-4 Friday. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel. Great-grandmother of Tanner Slack. Sister of Florence Boudreau, Hamilton, and Alan McDonald & wife Doreen, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by parents Leslie & Leena McDonald, sister Bernice and brother Frank. Private family services will be held. James Brant
BRANT – Suddenly at his residence on Sunday, September 19, 2004. JAMES BRANT, age 62 of Sarnia. Dear father of Steven & James Brant, Sarnia. Brother of Norman and Clifford Brant, Tillsonburg and Stella Brant, Sarnia. Uncle of Laura Cousins, Tillsonburg. Also uncle of John Jordan and great-uncle of Melissa Terryberry. He also leaves many friends from the Post Office and Faethorne Co-op. Predeceased by parents Scotty & Mary Ellen Tate and sister Margaret Cousins. Jim retired from Canada Post in 1985 after 20 years service. He was a member of Volunteers at Faethorne Co-op since 1993 and served with R.C.A. from 1959 – 1966. There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service. A family Interment will take place in Tillsonburg at a later date. MARSHALL - Suddenly on Saturday, April 9, 2005, JEANNE MARY MARSHALL, at the age of 68. Loving mother of Tony Marshall and his wife Sue and Tim Marshall. Proud grandma of Erin and Travis. Dear sister of Linda Dudley and her husband Steve of Chester, England. Dear aunt of Christine Dean and her husband Vinnie, Alan Sumpter and his wife Val, Geraldine, Christopher and Lorraine Dudley. Predeceased by her parents Harold Charles and Violet May Faulkner of Chester, England. Jeanne enjoyed 22 years working at the Gift Emporium in the Lambton Mall. John Suhler
SUHLER – At Bluewater Health, Mitton Site, JOHN (JACK) DAVID SUHLER, age 82, after a brief illness, died peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2006. Beloved husband and friend of Dorothy. Loved father of Margaret (Rob) Jukna, St. Petersburg, Florida. Step-father of Donna (Wayne) Bell, Toronto, Ken (Susan) Dewar, Mississauga, and Don Dewar, Vancouver. Grandfather of Heather Byrnes and Bryn, Stephanie and Christopher Dewar. Dear brother of David (Joyce) Suhler. Predeceased by his parents Helene and Alfred Suhler, his sisters Elaine Houle and Doreen Spaulding and his brother Gordon Suhler. John was a lifetime member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club and retired from Imperial Oil in 1984 after many years of service. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of procession to Sacred Heart Church for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated by Fr. Dear sister of Alfredo (Caroline) Odoardi of Connecticut. Nilda is also survived by her brothers-in-law John (Anna) of Sarnia, Ron (Catherine) of London, Gabriel (Carolina) of Kingston, Federico (Linda) DiFederico and Giovanna (Stefano) Digregorio both of Italy, and her sister-in-law Marie DiFederico of Corunna.
