Eileen Smith
After a brief battle with cancer, Eileen Smith passed away at home on Tuesday, June 15th 2004, attended by her daughters, Judith and Beth. She is survived by her two daughters, her grandchildren Jessica, Victoria and Alexandra, her sister Charlotte and her brothers John and Archie. At her request, a cremation has already been conducted. Visitation will be held at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday, June 24th at 11:00 am. A Memorial Service and Celebration of her life will follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family. Our most sincere thanks go to the Dorothy Ley Hospice, the Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre, the Etobicoke CCAC, and Storefront Humber for all their care and concern.

Jean Helen Lobb
(Long time resident of Long Branch). passed away in her daughter's arms on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at St. Joseph's Health Centre, in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her husband Victor, son Tom and brother Andrew. Survived by her daughter Linda Chiasson and her husband Michael of Horning's Mills, Ontario, grandchildren Patric of Horning's Mills, Mark, Stacey, and Mindi and great-grandchildren Deanna, Ryan, Emily and Amelia and daughter-in-law Marguerite, all of Baltimore, Maryland. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. Cremation to follow. At the family's request, flowers and donations gratefully declined.

John Dylan Guitar
Suddenly our precious baby boy died on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at the tender age of 4 months. Our little man will be lovingly remembered by his Mommy and Daddy, Yolanda and John. Cute baby brother to Emily and Rebecca. Nana Mary Ann and Flo’s little Sweetums. Loving nephew to Edgar, Diane (Dave). He will be greatly missed by his special friends Dianna and Dave. In his short life, he was loved very much and he touched the hearts of many family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Joseph Henri Arsenault
On Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Toronto Grace Salvation Army Hospital. Loving husband to Mary. Dear father to Jim and his wife Nancy, Linda and her husband Pat and grandfather to Christopher. Also missed by 1 brother and 2 sisters. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Anna May Salmon (Nee Feeley)
passed away suddenly at Grace Hospital, Toronto on June 21, 2004 at the age of 75 years. She was predeceased by her husband William Salmon, January 2002. She leaves to mourn her passing, sons Bill (Lucy), Jerry (Bev), Joe (Sandy) and Tom (Trish), daughter Cathy Van Horne (Tom), grandchildren Katherine, Kristine, Ryan, Trevor, Erin, Derek, Rebecca and Scott, sisters Betty Hefford and Sister Margaret Feeley, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Visitors will be welcomed at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 1 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 9 p.m. Prayers on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church (Brown’s Line). Interment at Glendale Memorial Gardens will follow. The family wishes to thank the staff at Grace Hospital, 6th floor Palliative Care Unit for their care, comfort and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.

June E. Carroll (nee Gratto)
passed away suddenly at her home on June 22, 2004 at the age of 78. Predeceased by her husband Thomas. Loving mother to Dwight and his wife Catherine, Lynn MacCallum and her husband Robert, Keith and his wife Sharon. June will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Jennifer, Sherry, Stacey-Dawn, T. Derek, Diahann, Ashley and Lesley-Anne. Survived by her brothers Stanley and John Gratto and sisters Lillian Day and Maureen Lumsden. June was a loving foster mother through the Catholic Children’s Aid for many years. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from St. Ambrose Catholic Church (782 Brown’s Line). Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Steven John Ozembloski
Peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side on Thursday, July 1, 2004 at the age of 78. Loving husband of Jenny. Beloved father of Janet and son-in-law Reza. Dear grandfather of Daniel. Jennifer Bridget Scott
Peacefully at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga on July 8, 2004, surrounded by her loving family. Cherished daughter of Dorothy and Bob Scott, will forever be missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and mostly mom and dad who are grateful for the 18 years of her life. Jennifer joins her grandparents who will lovingly care for her until we join her. “If daisies grow in heaven, Lord pick a bunch and place them in Jennifer’s arms and tell her it’s from the family and friends and tell her how much we miss her.” Many thanks to all the staff at the Trillium Health Centre, Dr. North, Alenka, Derick, Donna, Stephen and many others who have cared for Jennifer and provided support to the family at this most difficult time, you have done an outstanding job. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 12, 2004 at 3:30 pm from Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Roman Catholic Church (739 Browns Line, Etobicoke). Cremation has taken place. Peacefully on Sunday, July 18, 2004 at McCall Centre for Continuing Care in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Frank. Dear sister to Ciril Glivar, Ivana Novak and Terezija Hrovat all of Slovenija. Mary Wasag
Peacefully at home in her sleep on July 21, 2004, at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by husband, John, and son, Edmund. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved son, John; beloved daughter-in-law, Midge; grandchildren Kelly, Peter, Stephen, Kristyn and Andrea; and six great grandchildren. She dedicated her life to family and community having spent 75 years as a volunteer serving the Polish community. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Serena Agueci
After a brief illness on July 21, 2004. In her 85th year at the Trillium Health Centre. Beloved wife to the late Domenic, loving mother to the late Tina (Milt), Donna (Roger), Linda (John), Joe (MaryAnn) and Lorie (Gary), Grandma to 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her brother Spike and the late Tony. Serena will be lovingly remembered by many family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Peacefully after a courageous battle with an extensive illness on Thursday, July 22, 2004 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Regina will be sadly missed by her loving husband Fredrick of 47 years. Loving sister of Ed and his wife Viola Gawronski and predeceased by her sisters Mary and her husband Frank Swider and Anne and her husband Joe Radko. Loving Aunt to Patti, Philip, Gail and great aunt of Kristen, Lindsay and Jacob. Regina is survived by her sister-in-laws Hazel Lee, Doreen Roulson and Joyce O’Reilly. On Saturday, July 24, 2004 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga. Born in Lviv, Ukraine on May 27, 1913. Beloved husband of Mary. Dear father to Steve and his wife Anna and Jerry and his wife Wendi. Christine Davis (nee Reid)
After a brave battle with cancer on Sunday, July 25th, 2004 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon, adored mother of Arthur and step-daughter Linda (Joe), cherished aunt of Dale (Doug) and Reid (Brenda) and dear sister of the late Bill Reid and Phyllis Kinnear. Beloved father of Dave, Danny and his wife Elena, Lorraine and her husband Mike Ireland and Neil. Cherished grandfather of Debbie, Brian, Kevin, Sarah, Doug, Julie and Laura. Survived by her sisters Margaret Rusnak (Yorkton, Sask.), Vicky Corn (Mississauga, On) and brother Ed Leniuk (Windsor, On) and predeceased by her sisters Katie Lubka, Anne Torsky, Nelly Kadychuk, Olga Zemlak and brothers Bill Leniuk, Laddie Lane and Joe Leniuk.
