BONIA, Alphonsus John – passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 21, 2004, age 66 years. Predeceased by his parents, Alphonsus and Mary; brother-in-law Patrick Coady; parents-in-law Frank and Gertrude Gough, brothers-in-law Bill, Ray, Pete and Fred Gough. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 43 years, Velma (nee Gough); daughters: Juanita Holub and Joleen; grandchildren Stephanie, Matthew and Andrew; brothers: Hughie (Eileen), Ray (Donna), John (Pearl); sisters: Bernice Hillier (Steve), Verna Walsh (Jim), Betty Coady, Carmelita Gilkes; sisters-in-law Mary Hoban, Sheila Garside, Winnie Constantine, Marg Gough; brothers-in-law Kevin Gough (Kay), John Gough (Nellie), special friend and cousin Jerome Bonia; as well as a large number of nieces and nephews. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Wednesday from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.. Funeral Mass on Friday, April 23rd, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Cremation to Follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.

COLE, Bride - Passed peacefully away at her residence on April 3, 2004, Former CN Employee, well known for her involvement with Victoria Park, Bride Cple 1919 - 2004, aged 85 years. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary Cple; three sisters Kay Devereaux, Ann King and Josephine Thorne; one brother Sam; Leaving to mourn a large number of nieces and nephews as well great-nieces and great-nephews; also a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Monday 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Tuesday 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday April 7, from Mary Queen of Peace Church, time to be announced. Interment to follow Belvedere Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations maybe in her memory to the St. John's Boys and Girls Club.

Predeceased by her husband Richard (Dick) 2002; brothers: Ken, Ben, Nick and John, and special sister Philomena. Left with loving memories, son Joe; daughter-in-law Mary Ann; grandchildren David and Meghan; special great-grandson Hunter; 2 brothers Randell and Patrick; as well as large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Wilfred David, her parents, Joseph and Mary Ashley and her brother Joseph Ashley. Leaving to mourn two sisters: Bettie Stanley and Patricia McDonald (Stoney Creek, Ontario). Also leaving to mourn her sister-in-law Isabelle Ashley and a large circle of very beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial from Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Road on Wednesday, April 28th, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery.

DUNNE, B. Sydney (Holden) – Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Friday, April 23, 2004. Sydney Dunne in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband, Richard, her sister Mary Hogan, brothers: Jack, Michael, James and Tom Holden. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughters: Diane Colford (Bob); Maureen King (Wayne); Marian Barry; Helen Cuff (Rob) of Gilbert, Arizona and one son James Dunne (Maureen); grandchildren: Sean Colford (Stephanie); Andrew Colford (Sheena); Karen Hudson (Chris) in Calgary, Alberta; Michael King in Grand Prairie, Alberta; Andrea Dunne in Dublin, Ireland; Kieran and Toby Dunne; Richard, Kenneth, Patrick and their father Keith Barry; one great-granddaughter Esther Sydney Colford, and sister-in-law Joan Holden, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Barbara Ann Fowler
FOWLER, Barbara Ann– age 53, passed away at home on Monday, April 26, 2004, after a five year battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents, she leaves to mourn her husband of 35 years, Walter Fowler; three children: Candice (David), Vandalia, Ohio; Ninee (Brian), Mount Pearl; and Walter Jr. (Madonna), St. John’s; four grandchildren: Noah, Eric, Joshua and Kyle, as well as a large circle of family and friends including Flossie, Joan and Dorothy. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA.

GRIFFITHS, Ronald Martin – age 38, passed away on Sunday, April 25th, 2004, in Ottawa, Ontario. Cherished son of Robert Griffiths and the late Diane Griffiths. Loving father of Robbie, Bradley, Blair and Christopher; dear brother of James (Bev), Kenneth (Claire), Andrew (Mari), Nancy (Darren Churchill); fondly remembered by Cindy Griffiths and Beverley Jackson; also fondly remembered by a network of family and friends throughout Canada. Predeceased by her husband Hubert, 1996; sister Dorothy Jardine, November 2002; and parents Bride and Charles Jardine. Leaving to mourn her children: Sean (Candace), Bob (Rose), Jeff, Anne Feehan (Don) and Moya Dawe (Norm); grandchildren: Robyn and Colin Feehan; Joseph and Jennifer Dawe; Edward and Michael Moakler and Lauren Moakler; sister Mary Jardine; sisters-in-law: Hope Wiseman, Corner Brook; Anne Moakler, Nova Scotia; brother-in-law Robert Moakler (Greta), New York; also other relatives and friends. Leo Joseph Molloy
MOLLOY, Leo Joseph - In the presence of his loving family, Leo Joseph Molloy (77 years), joined his parents Thomas and Martha, and his sisters Regina (Frank McDonald) and Christine Molloy. Left with fond memories is his adoring wife, Norah (Kennedy) of 50 years. He will be remembered as a devoted father by his three sons, Ignatius (Georgina), Thomas (Margie), Hugh (Carol Ann) and four daughters, Josie (Mike Pomroy), Jackie (Dale Campbell deceased), Christine (John Ennis) and Jacinta (Louis Shelling). Missing Poppy are his eight grandchildren, Erin and Bernard Molloy, Lee Campbell, Jacob and Emma Pomroy, Martha and John Ennis and Lenora Shelling. Leo also leaves his caring sisters and brothers, Agnes Hanlon (Peter), Emma Linehan (Tom deceased), Francis (Agnes deceased), Richard (Marg), along with nieces and nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends, especially Bill O'Leary. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, St. John's, from noon to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 3 and Sunday, April 4. Mass of Christian Burial from St. Patrick's Church, Patrick Street, Monday, April 5, 9:30 a.m., Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road.
