Bernard Joseph Kielley
KIELLEY, Bernard Joseph - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, January 20th, 2004. Bernard Kielley, former CN employee, age 68 years. Left with fond and loving memories, his wife Geraldine (Dalton); daughter Bernadine; son Henry (Simone); brother Ronald (Bernice); sisters: Elizabeth White (Jack), Margaret Breen; step-brother William Kieley; step-sister Mary Dinn; brothers-in-law: Ron Maloney, Thomas Dalton; sisters-in-law Ida Bennett and Lucy Dalton. Cremation has taken place with no visitation or floral tributes, as per Bernard’s request.
Donations in his memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Funeral Mass on Friday, January 23rd, 2004, at t. Pius X Church, Smithville Crescent. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Evelyn King
KING, Evelyn C. - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare`s Mercy Hospital on Sunday, January 04, 2004. Evelyn C. King, aged 81 years. Predeceased by her husband George Augustus King and son Augustus King Jr.; brothers Mike and Jack and sister Jean. Leaving to mourn two sons: Robert and Perry (Shilo); three daughters: Mary (Pat), Anita (Larry deceased) and Linda (Ray); 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Steve (Shirley), Billy (Jean), Eddy; sisters: Laura (Edgar), Mary and Jose; special niece, Jeanie O`Gorman (Ted); as well as many other relatives and friends.
Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. from St. Patrick`s Church. Cremation to follow.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Lung Association.

Ira L. Kirk
KIRK, Ira L. (Bud) - Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness at the Health Science Centre on Saturday, January 24, 2004, age 69 years. Leaving to mourn his wife of 46 years Elizabeth (Bess Ryan). Two daughters: Jane Kirk O`Donnell (Jim), Joan Kirk Shaw (Laurin). Two sons: Jeff (Kerry) and Jerry (Brenda). Eight grandchildren: Sean, Stephen and Matthew O`Donnell, Ryan and Liam Kirk, Brianna and Brian Kirk, and Leah Shaw. Brothers Elmer Kirk (Carol) and sister Imogene Brown (Hunter). Plus a large circle of family and friends.
Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Monday and Tuesday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 11 a.m. from St. Kevin`s Church, Goulds. Interment to follow at St. Kevin`s Cemetery.
Flowers accepted or donations may be made in his memory to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Kathleen LeMessurier
LeMessurier, Kathleen (Norris) - On Saturday, January 31, 2004, a very special, gentle lady passed peacefully away at St. Patrick`s Mercy Home, age 87 years. Leaving to mourn her loss and to celebrate her loving spirit and long life of courage and selflessness are her children Marie (Bill) Iams, Anne (Noel) Lilly and Peter (Ariana) and four beloved grandchildren Andrea and Ian Lilly and Mark and Christine LeMessurier; also her sister-in-law, Victoria Badcock and her nieces, nephews and friends.
Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, Le-Marchant Road from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, February 2, on Tuesday from 10-12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 4 at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery.

Our family will be forever grateful to the nursing and pastoral care staff of St. Pat`s Mercy Home for their constant care, compassion and support. You were Mom`s second family and she loved you all.

Leaving to mourn his loving daughter Roma Rideout, Goulds, son Morrell (Gwen); stepson Frank Fowler (Mary), Placentia; son-in-law Mike Walsh; very special granddaughter Diane Rideout-Griffin; also Margaret Ann, Wayne, Phyllis, Johnny, Gladys, Rodney, Raymond, Jenny, Bonnie, Bobby, Sandra, Linda, Mike, Frances, Vicky, Marion, Leonard, Lisa, Lucelle, Francine, Francis, Michelle and Robert; 38 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Also many friends and care-givers from the Agnes Pratt Home, especially those from Southview.

Eva Mahoney
MAHONEY, Eva - In loving memory of Eva Mahoney who passed away January 21, 2004 after a brief illness. Born Bridget Quinn in County Tyrone, Ireland over 81 years ago, she lived over half her life in Newfoundland, a place she loved. Predeceased by her husband Walter in 1993, she will be dearly missed by her daughter Kathleen (Alan), her son Michael and grandson Ryan, as well as her sister Kathleen and family, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Eva had a great capacity for friendship and will be fondly remembered by her many friends, old and new, near and far, young and old.
At her request, a cremation has taken place and a visitation will be held at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday, January 24th and Sunday, January 25th from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. A
Funeral Mass with cremated remains will be held on Monday, January 26th at 9:45 a.m. from St. Pius X Church, Elizabeth Avenue. Inurnment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery

Theresa M. Martin
MARTIN, Theresa M. – Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Center on Sunday, January 25, 2004, age 70 years. Predeceased by husband Patrick (March 1st, 1998) and brother in-law John Martin (April 22, 1985). Leaving to mourn sons: Alphonsus (Dorothy) and Patrick Jr.; Daughter Shirley (Willie). Brothers: Alphonsus (Shirley), Stirling, Ont. and Fergus (Rose). Nine grandchildren: Raymond, Roger, Wendy, Brittney, Justin, and Jermey Martin, Gary, Tony and Billy Short. Also very special niece Rosie Coffin. Sister in-law Eileen Martin. Special thanks to Dr. Collis, Dr.Lear and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, Miller Center.
