Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 49 years, Alice (nee Evans); sons: Robert (Betty) and Craig; daughters: Wanda (Victor), Glenda (Pat); grandchildren: Rob, Tracie, Patrick and Steven; great-grandchildren: Liam and Margaux; sister-in-law Anne Smith; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jack and Wilhelm Evans; special friends: Judy and Ron Shaw; sisters-in-law: Theresa Martin of Kitchener and Mary Woods of Milwaukee, WI; and a large circle of other relatives, friends and neighbors. Frank Stanley
STANLEY, Frank Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with Alzheimer s at Pleasantville Terrace, St. Luke s Homes on Saturday, July 17th, 2004. Frank Michael Stanley, age 77 years. A devoted husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Stanley; brothers: Bill and Leo; sisters: Marion Muncey and Mary Cleary. Leaving to mourn his wife and best friend Betty (nee Whelan); only son Frank; special daughter-in-law Paula; five grandsons, whom he treasured: Bryce (Nancy), Libya; Jason (Sara), Ottawa; Scott, St. John s; Matthew, India; and Ben, St. John s; sisters: Kathleen Rowe, Marg Browne and Betty Stanley Noah; also a large circle of family and friends. Frank was Superintendent of Building and Grounds, Memorial University for 32 years. He was dedicated to the University, where he had a positive impact on many lives and especially the landscaping and duck pond. He was Commodore of the Terra Nova Sailing Club, where many fellow sailors learned to see the stern of Kittiwake on race day. Frank as an avid hunter and no finer master a beagle could have had. Thank-you to Fr. Ken Walsh, Rev. Adkins, Dr. Vaughan-Jackson and the very caring staff of St. Luke s Homes. Special thank-you to Frank s sister Marg Brown for her constant support and bedside vigil and brother-in-law Br. Predeceased by parents John and Alice, sisters; Angela Hewitt, Lena Curtis, Anne Tobin; brothers Richard and George. WAKEHAM, Patrick Joseph Passed peacefully away on July 19th, 2004, at the age of 62, in St. John s, after an eight month wait for a heart transplant. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 39 years, Carol (Arnott); his three devoted children: Lou-Ann Kelly (Brian), Sean Wakeham (Joan) and Karen Wakeham (Craig); his five cherished grandchildren: Ian, Nicholas and Matthew Kelly and Siobhan and Emily Wakeham. Also survived by his very special brother Thomas Wakeham (Gail), brother Vincent Wakeham (Betty) and two sisters Roseann Linehan (Pat) and Mary Taylor (Glenn) and a very special aunt Sister Lillian Wakeham. ALLISON, Anthony (Tony) Sadly passed away as the result of a tragic fishing accident off the coast of Greenland. Anthony (Tony) Allison, at the young age of 47 years. Predeceased by parents Mary and Edward and very special grandmother Margaret Lee. CODY, Francis Ambrose - On Monday, June 21st, 2004, we lost a kind and gentle soul, Francis Ambrose Cody, 66 years of Kelligrews. Predeceased by his father: Francis, mother: Anne, mother-in-law: Jane Picco and special uncle: Harold Cody. He was the caring and loving husband of Margaret for the last 41 years. Also left without his loving presence are his children: Eileen (Wayne), Greg (Denise), Carolyn Anne (Bob), Christine (Ike) and Jamie. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and by his sisters: Eileen, Margaret and Anne, friends and those whose lives he gently touched. Affectionately known as "Herbie the Piano Man" at the Ship Inn, and a member of Melody Makers Band in the 1940's. Leaving to mourn wife Phyllis at the Escasoni; daughters: Jane Moss (Stewart) of Nova Scotia, Brenda Dollmont (Bernie) of Nova Scotia; son: Richard Cranford of Montreal; grandson Antonio, Santigo, Spain; brother: Ed (Shirly); special friend: Rev.
