John Edwards EDWARDS, John – Passed peacefully away at Etobicoke General Hospital on June 25th, 2004, with his loving wife Mary (Howlett) at his side, John Edwards, of Kilbride, aged 65 years. Leaving to mourn his loss are his wife Mary, his daughters: Patricia McNeil (Jim) of Belfast, and their four children: Lisa, Donna, Caroline, and Gema; Sharron Brennan of Belfast, and her three children Tracey, Julianne and Stephanie; Maureen Howlett (Gary) of the Goulds and their three children: Christopher (Nicki), Scott, and Andrew and Tracey Taylor (Rob) of Etobicoke and their three children: Todd, Ryan and Brett; his sons: Sean Edwards (Lisa) of Oshawa, Ontario and their three children Shane, Laura and Suzanne; Desmond Edwards (Lori) of St. John’s and their daughter Haley; Greg Edwards (Colleen) of Gander and their two children Devon and Matthew; and Kevin Edwards (Kristen) of Scarborough, Ontario and their two children Shane and Scott. Also leaving to mourn are his sisters: Lilly (Blair) of England and Mary (Dolan) of Galway, Ireland. As well as a many other relatives and friends. At John’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29th, 2004 at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 30th, 2004, at 11:30 a.m. from St. Kevin’s Church. Interment to follow at St. Kevin’s Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.

FORAN, A. Bernice (nee Murphy) – Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Sunday, June 6th, 2004, Bernice Foran, age 84 years. Predeceased by her husband James C. Foran (1976) and son Jim A. Foran (2003). Leaving to mourn son Edward (Helen) Foran, St. John’s; and daughters: Catherine Foran, New York; Connie (Marty) Gardoqui, New York; Bernice (Wilf) Parsons; and daughter-in-law Mabel Foran, Gander; sister Kathleen Fitzgibbons, Hamilton, Ontario; loving grandchildren: Stephen, James and Alexandra DiFede; Cindy, Dina and Dan Gardoqui; James and Matthew Foran; Heath and Leslie Foran; John and Karen Parsons; great-grandchildren: Stephen, Brandon, Colin, Angelica, Jay, Adam and Nicholas; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Furlong, Peter – Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park on Sunday, June 27th, 2004. Peter Furlong, aged 85, retired fireman, member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and formerly of St. Joseph’s Parish. Predeceased by his wife Mary and grandchild Emerald Furlong-Murie. Leaving with cherished memories of a wonderful father and grandfathers are son Peter Roch (Patricia); daughters: Maureen (Derek Dymond), Carol Anne, Michelle, Cheryl (Patrick Fynes), Elaine (Jim Woolridge); grandchildren Peter and Becky Furlong, Avril, Eleri and Veronica Dymond; Jaime, Michael and Billy Woolridge, Conor and Mereille Fynes; great-granddon Kyle Woolridge; godmother Hannah Haley. Leaving to mourn her loving husband Frank, two daughters, Patricia (Bill), Dartmouth, NS; Mary (Bob), St. John’s; three sons: Brian (Elaine), Fredericton, NB; Paul (Lynn), Toronto, Ont.; and Sean (Linda), St. John’s and her 13 beautiful grandchildren: Michael and Anne; Marie, John, Janet and Christine; Peter and Claire; Christopher, Stefan and Gina; Catherine and Sean. HOLDEN, John (Jack) 1926 - 2004 - Passed peacefully away at home surrounded by his loving family, John Holden age 77 years. Predeceased by his Parents John and Margaret and brother Leo. Leaving to mourn his loving wife and best friend of 56 years; Gertie ( nee Burke ), 5 sons; David ( Jeannette ), Wayne ( Lorraine ), Robert ( Jane ), Brian ( Joanne ), Kenneth ( Paulette ), 6 daughters; Jeanette Foley ( Jim ), Brenda Bowman ( Bill ), Jacqueline Power ( Dave ), Beverly Dicks ( Rick ), Barbara Gorman ( Gary ), Pamela Benson ( Gary ). KENNEDY, Gerard P. – Passed peacefully away on June 14, 2004, age the age of 75, after a brief battle with cancer at the Leonard A. Miller Centre. Predeceased by wife Laura (2000), son-in-law Frank O’Neill (2001), father George, mother Sadie, brother Michael and sister Mary. Gerard was a loyal and lifetime 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus – Terra Nova Council #1452, as well as the Senators Group. Leaving to mourn his sad loss are three daughters: Elaine O’Neill, Diane Buckle (Wayne) and Jacqueline Churchill (Larry); five grandchildren: Shannon O’Neill (Dennis Cross), Erin O’Neill (Derek O’Toole), Channing Buckle, Desiree Churchill and Kyle Churchill; brother Raymond (Vera), sister Gabrielle Kennedy, brothers-in-law: Bernard McGuire (Maureen) and George McGuire (Mary); as well as a large circle of friends.
