WALSH, Brenda Eileen – Passed peacefully away on Sunday, May 30th, 2004, at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit, following at short battle with cancer, Brenda Wash (nee Tilley), age 50 years. Predeceased by her parents, James and Mary Tilley and brother John. Leaving to mourn their loss, her loving husband of 29 years, Bill; son David (Amanda); daughters: Allison (Shawn) and Elizabeth (Stephen); also her special sister-in-law Judy Wall (Pat); brother-in-law Keith Walsh (Linda deceased); and close and dear friends, Marg Thomas, Linda Norman, Carol Butters and John and Cathy Picco, a very special friend, Sr. Loretta Chafe, R.S.M., and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Monday, May 31st, from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. and Tuesday, June 1st, and Wednesday, June 2nd, from 12 noon – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. -10 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, June 3rd, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. from St. Paul’s Church, Newfoundland Drive. Cremation to follow. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road. Isabelle Marie Walsh
WALSH, Isabella Marie (nee Hynes) – Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at the Health Sciences Centre. She was the daughter of the late William and Katherine Hynes of St. Brendan’s, sister of the late Rita Penney, Gregory Hynes and Frank Hynes. She is survived by her loving children: Sandra (Joel) Brody, Cindy (Paul) Murray and Tina (Matt) Stobo, Reg (Judy) and Gordon (Jennifer) Walsh; also by her brothers Bert (Geraldine), Gerard (Genevieve) and Ron (Sheila) Hynes; cherished grandmother to Dawson, Hannah, Liam, Katherine, Kristen, Caitlin, Isaac, Aisling and Kiera. She will be fondly remembered by all of her cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family will receive friends at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, St. John’s on Thursday and Friday from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Teresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Road, at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 29th, 2004. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Kathleen Beulah Webb
WEBB (FALLON), Kathleen Beulah – Passed gracefully away at the ICU, Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s, NL on Saturday, May 15th, 2004, age 64 years. Predeceased by her mother Frances Hann, father Ignatius (Dig) Webb; brothers: David, Robert and Kenneth Webb; sister Ellen Webb; first cousin Gerard Webb, all of the West Coast. Eternally loved by her children: Kenneth; Michael (Suzanne), Montreal; Sean (Cynthia), Montreal; Kelly Ann; and their wonderful loving father Donald Kevin Fallon, formerly of Harbour Grace; grandson Matthew Fabian Fallon; sisters: Madonna Ring, Julie Rogers (Glenn), Judith Marshall (John), Maureen Pittman (Jim); and brothers: Gord, Darrell and Paul Holley. Dearly loved and cherished by many relatives and friends on the West Coast, NL, and Montreal, PQ and many nieces and nephews throughout Canada. Thank-you to Fr. W. BROWN for the comfort he extended to Kathleen and her children. Sincerest thanks to the nurses of the ICU, especially Michelle, Bobbie and Carol, who helped Kathleen pass on to God and the angels gracefully. Special thanks to the whole team of doctors involved in Kathleen’s care; Dr. Kwan, Dr. Valerie Jefford, Dr. Geoff Zbitnew, Dr. Sergi and Dr. Downey. A special thank-you for the compassionate care of Dr. H. G. Clarke, Dr. Ronald Carrigan, Dr. Bruce Sussex and Dr. Michael Furey. Upon Kathleen’s request, cremation has taken place. WHITE, Michael Joseph (Joe)- Passed peacefully away Sunday, May 16, 2004 at the Hoyles Home, World War II Merchant Navy Veteran, Joseph White in his 78th year. Predeceased by his parents, John and Mary and two brothers William and Richard. Leaving to mourn his wife Florence; sons Paul (Butch) and Roger; daughters Dale Collins, Debby Dunford (Keith) and Diane. Poppy Joe will be missed by his grandchildren, Lori Kearley (Dale), Bethany Collins, Jennifer Langmead (Blair), Andrew Collins, Nicholas and Robbie White; great-grandchildren Madison and Olivia Kearley, Callie and Josh Langmead. Also, sister Ann of Minnesota; brothers, Tom (Joan), Gerry (Theresa, deceased) and very special brother and friend Jack. Also will be greatly missed by a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home on Monday 7-10 p.m. Tuesday 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at the Basilica at 11:30 a.m.. Interment at the Field of Honor Mount Pleasant Cemetery. BELL, Madeline Mary (nee Dwyer) – Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Monday, November 01, 2004, age 93 years. Predeceased by her husband Wallace, 1978. Left with fond and loving memories, her daughter Judith Ann Bell (Roman Wnek), her son Paul Bell (Jean); grandchildren: Tina Follett (Bill), Tania Rose (Glen) and Terry Bell; great-grandchildren: Elisha, Brianna, Kyle; brother Patrick Dwyer, sister Mary Wills; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Lillian, two brothers Michael and David. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife Margie (nee Lundrigan), daughter Nicole and son Gerry. Also leaving to mourn his three brothers: Ray, Frank (Josh) (wife Brenda) and Kevin; three special sisters-in-law, Lorraine Doyle, Carol Bulger (Wayne) and Sadie Parsons (Bob); two special brothers-in-law John (Jack) Lundrigan (Aune) of Val Caron, Ontario and Patrick (Pat) Lundrigan (Marilyn). Left with fond and loving memories, his wife of 46 years, Ina (nee Groves); children: Tony (Bev), Theresa West (Stew), Michael (Val), Robert (Andrea) and Wayne (Karen); grandchildren: Terri, Toni, Stewart, Nicholas, Gregory, Michael; sisters: Lillian Holloway (Fred), Marie Hurley, Mary Bishop (Gerald), Lucille Brake (Gordon); special friend Tony Ayre; as well as many other relatives and friends. CAHILL, David Samuel – (Retired C.B.C. employee) passed away suddenly, but peacefully, Saturday Nov. 6, 2004. David Samuel Cahill, age 52. Predeceased by his mother Kathleen Cahill. Leaving to mourn his beloved children: daughter Krista (Seoul, Korea), son Robert and their mother Margie (nee Cochrane); also missing him are his sisters and brothers: Noel Keough, Marjorie Keough, Margaret Stokes, Madonna Spurrell, Cathy Mullett, Paul Keough, Pat Keough and families; sister-in-law Eleanor Making (Harry) Saint John N.B. and his many nieces and nephews. Dave leaves to mourn a wide circle of friends, especially his friends from “On the Road”, very special buddies Jim and Cathy Murphy (Craig, Karyn and Chris) and musical Irish Brew friends – Peter (Rocky) Furlong, Tony Hayward and Ian Kendall.
