Assumpta, R.S.M., five brothers, Edward, Cyril, James, Philip and John. Leaving to mourn her daughters, Joan Mary Walsh and Ann (Bob) Marshall, her special granddaughter, Anne Marie MacIntosh, seven other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister, Sr. M. Celine, R. S. M., and sister-in-law Gertrude Veitch.
Resting at Caul s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Sunday from 12 noon 10 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday 9:30 a.m. at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. BRENNAN, James Thomas (Jim) Passed peacefully away at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, October 23rd, 2004, aged 67 years. He was surrounded by his loving wife and family. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Ida and John Brennan, mother and father-in-law, Mary and William Smith, and a number of Brennan, Hann and Smith family members. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife of 47 years, Marie (nee Smith); eight children: Rhonda (Leo McDonald), Donna, Wade, Jimmy (Bonnie), Mary (Bob Gardiner), Sandra (Kevin Chafe), Blair (Renee) and Jacky. He is forever loved by his 18 grandchildren and one great-grand child. He will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters; Walter (Madonna), John (Stella), Ann (Don White), Mary (Ambrose Williams), Viola (Bob Candow), Helen (Gerry Boland); his sisters-in-law Alice Whelan, Margie Barratt, Helen Fullington, Kit Brennan, Edna Hann and Aunt Vi and Uncle Jack Bailey. He will be missed by a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends and neighbours, especially Betty and Joe Frampton and special son-in-law Don Cox. Leaving to mourn are his three sisters: Margaret, Agnes (Degan), Dallas, Texas, and Anne Crotty (Frank); five brothers: John (Elaine), Edward (Helen), Phillip (Carolyn), Calgary, Alberta, Joseph (Helen), Brampton, Ont. and Brendan (Sandra); special friends Lorena and Mary Whelan and Kevin and Lorraine Kerwin; as well as many other relatives and friends. BYRNE, Laura Mary (Hunt) - Formerly of Conche, passed peacefully away surrounded by family and friends at her son's residence, Tuesday, October 25th. Predeceased by her husband Bernard, parents Tom and Ellen Hunt, brothers Herbert and Leo, sister Doreen and grandson Michael. Leaving to mourn 16 children: Maude (Frank), Donna (Ed), Toni, Don (Ida), Victor (Lucy), George (Alice), Kevin (Donna), Bernie (Gertie), Barry (Bertha), Jacinta (Rick), Goretti (Gary), Terry (Theresa), Jude (Delight), Millie (Bernie), Andy (Karen), Bill, 37 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Mary and Carmel and brother Patrick, many relatives and numerous friends. Visitation was held at Caul's Funeral Home, Tuesday, October 26th. Funeral Services will take place at Sacred Heart Church in Conche with Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery on Friday, October 29th.
