Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family after a brief illness on January 5, 2005 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, age 77 years. Predeceased by mother Anne; father John; brothers: Mark and Patrick; sisters: Catherine (Tomko), Agnes (Hollett) and Mary Schneider. Leaving to mourn brother Gerald (Mary), James (Fort McMurray, AB); sisters: Shirley Murphy (Ray), Madonna Saunders, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 10:00 a.m.- 10:00 p.m. on Friday. Funeral Mass to take place at St. Patrick's Church on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow with inurnment at Holy Sepulchre at a later date. BRENNAN Catherine (Kit) Irene
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Kit aged 63 years, on January 31st, 2005. Predeceased by her husband Frank 1984, father Robert 1941, mother Angela 1991, stepfather Evan 1991, brother Robert 1975, sister Madeline 2000, mother-in-law Ida 1986, father-in-law John 1976 and brothers- and sisters-in-law Jim Brennan 2004, Tom Hann 1994, Bill Hann 1990, Eliza Hann 1985, Ruth Boland 1968, Bill Boland 1997, and Alex Hann 1963.
Leaving to mourn: her two loving sons, Alex and wife Paula, Bill and wife Jen. Her five precious Angels: Bryanna, Paige, Jenessa, James and Ryan. Also her special nephew Alex Hann with whom she resided, and special niece and friend, Bev Roche.
She will be sadly missed by her brother and sisters, Evan Eugene, Cecilia, Nellie (Al) and Anita (Rob). Also leaving to mourn: her brothers- and sisters-in-law Walt and Madonna Brennan, Marie Brennan, Mary and Ambrose Williams, Helen and Gerald Boland, Viola and Robert Candow, John Brennan, Ann and Don White, Gloria Hann and Edna Hann; two special aunts, Vi Bailey and Margaret Lee. Her life has also touched a large number of family and friends too numerous to mention.

BRENNAN, Denis Joseph 1927-2005, passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by his family, on January 24, 2005. Denis Joseph Brennan, formerly of Little Paradise, age 77 years. Predeceased by his parents, Agnes and Michael, brother Patrick and sisters Blanche and Mary. Leaving to mourn his sisters: Anne Brennan, St. John s, with whom he resided; and Mary Lake (Gerard), of Rushoon; brother Pius (Mabel), of Dunville and a special nephew and godchild, Terry Brennan, St. John s; along with 7 nephews, 6 nieces, 4 great-nieces and nephews; 1 great-great-niece and 1 great-great-nephew; as well as a large number of cousins, family and friends. Predeceased by her husband, LeRoy Brown; her parents Elizbaeth and John White; brother Martin and Jack and sister Helen Conway. Leaving to mourn her loss are sisters-in-law Jean Czekanski in California and Mary White in St. John s, and brother-in-law Don Childs (Pearl) in Florida; special niece Carol Byrne (Dave) and special nephew Bob Conway (Catherine) and Special cousin Betty Tracey; also a large circle of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. DOBBIN, Mary (nee Hefferan) Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick s Mercy Home on Thursday, January 6th, 2005, in her 90th year. Mary Dobbin (nee Hefferan) formerly of Petite Forte. She is predeceased by her husband Lar (L.J.) Dobbin and her infant son. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her daughters: Kathleen (Robert Benson), Ellen (Jim Maher) and Mary (Dave Wall), and son Larry (Donna Earle); she is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jennifer Benson; Bobby, Lori and Brian Baggs; Donna, David and Nadine Wall; as well as five great-grandchildren. Leaving to mourn her loving husband, Peter; sons: Kevin (Debbie) and Patrick; daughters: Margaret Boone (James), Bernadette, Babbs, Kathleen and Sheila (Darren); two brothers Kevin (Mary) and Billy; sisters: Marg (Charl), Kathy (Robert) and Marie; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. DYER, William Francis. William Francis Dyer of St. John's, Newfoundland age 88 years, passed peacefully away on Sunday, January 30th, 2005. Leaving to mourn his wife of fifty two years Sophia (Gavin); daughters - Anita Roxanne Dyer - Montreal, Rhonda Greeley (Glen) - Portugal Cove; sons - William Thomas Dyer (Anne) - Calgary, Thomas Dyer (Candy) - Brampton; sister Evelyn Bown - Bell Island and brother Howard Dyer (Joan) - St. John's. Predeceased by his parents Bridget (Hyde) and William Dyer - Bell Island; brother Gerald Dyer (Madeline) - Kelligrews. Will be sadly missed by grand children Scott and Chelsea Greeley - Portugal Cove, Natasha Dyer - Brampton and great grandchild Zane Thomas Dyer - Brampton. Bill retired from Newfoundland Hydro after many years of service in the Rural Electrification Area. He was active in the Amateur Radio Community (VO1PY). EARLE, Shirley Elizabeth - Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family at the L.A. Miller Centre on January 27, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer, Shirley Elizabeth, age 68 years. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Angela; also brothers: John, Edward Jr. and sister-in-law Ada. Left with fond and loving memories one sister and best friend, Florence; three brothers: James (Elsie), Ronald (Jen), Dave (Beryl); very special nephew, whom she considered as a son, David Jr. (Paula); and special great-nephew Aaron and special great-niece Kayla; also many other nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends. EVANS, Mary (May) (nee Thistle) Passed peacefully away at her home on Friday, January 07, 2005, Mary (May) Evans, at 92 years of age. She brightened the world of all whom she touched, with her quick words and ready smile. She loved to see friends and family visit for a cup of tea and a game of cards. May was predeceased by her husband, Matthew and two sons, Edmund and Matthew (Mattie) and her sister Dolly. She will be always remembered and loved by her daughter Shirley (Fred) Pye, and sons Leo (Maxine) Evans and Bill (Gloria) Evans; daughters-in-law: Florence Evans and Sandra Evans; sisters: Beatrice Evans (Frank deceased) and Hilda Murphy (John deceased).
