PEDDLE, William Thomas – Passed peacefully away at home in Mount Pearl on January 28th, 2005, age the age of 78 years. Former Sheet Metal Worker and CN. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: wife Mary (O’Brien), sons Randy (Mary), Paul (Diane) in Tennessee, Bill (Linda), Tom (Louise), John (Melissa), Stephen (Daphne) and Hubert (Sharon) in Toronto; daughters: Margaret (David Rendell), Carol (Randy Andrews), Kathy (Tony Ryan), Patty (Dana Perry), Marie (Lorne Dalley) in Nova Scotia, Paulette (Luc Paulin) and Annette (Clarnece Pardy); 23 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Sheila (Peter Ivany) and Eileen (David Smith); nieces, nephews and special family and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Saturday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 1, at 2 p.m. from Caul’s Chapel. POWER, Anne (nee Ward) – Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by her loving family on January 19, 2005, after a brief battle with cancer, Anne Power, age 78 years. Predeceased by her husband, George (1977), parents Michael and Margaret Ward, brothers: Alfred, Thomas and Reginald and sister Agnes. Leaving to mourn five sons: Randy (Janie), George (Elizabeth), Sid, Ron (Vickie) and John (Carol); six daughters: Judy Hurley (Bill Reeves), Connie Thorne (Clarence), Janice Monahan (Shawn), Geraldine Flewelling (Doug), Sheila Barrett (Don) and Patricia Sudsbury (Lee), as well as 20 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; sisters: Nell O’Neil (Jim), Mary St. Croix; brother Patrick Ward (Madonna); brother-in-law Francis Molloy and special godson Darryl Ward, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Thursday and Friday from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 22nd, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. STAMP, William Cornelius – Passed peacefully away on Saturday, January 8, 2005, at the DVA Pavilion, age 88 years. Predeceased by his wife Gertrude and stepson Michael Downey, his parents Richard and Catherine, brother Cyril and Richard and brother-in-law Bill McGrath. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his brother Gordon (Mary) of St. John’s; his sister Kathleen McGrath of Goose Bay; sisters-in-law: Joan Stamp of Labrador City and Rose Stamp of Gander; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Silverdale Manor, St. Catherine’s, and the staff of the DVA Pavilion. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. STEVENSON, Lillian - passed away at the Palliative Care Unit at the L.A. Miller Center on Jan. 4, 2005, Lillian Stevenson, age 77 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Thomas, three brothers: John, Thomas and James Martin, two sisters: Elizabeth and Mary Martin. Leaving to mourn three sisters: Rita Stone, Nell Walsh (Louis), Mary Hefferman (Philip). Sadly missed by a large number of nieces, nephews, and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005 from 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Peters Church, Mount Pearl. Sullivan, Edith Vera – It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Edith Vera Sullivan on January 8th, 2005, at the age of 76. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, her devoted husband of 55 years, Hayward; three sons: Wayne (Mercedes), Ted (Bonnie) and Neil; 7 grandchildren: Angie (Teddy), Brad, Amanda, Evan, Ashley, Ryan and Lisa; 1 great-granddaughter Madison; brother and friend Russell Gruchy; sister-in-law Violet Noseworthy; brother-in-law John Sullivan; as well as a large circle of family and friends, especially her dear friend Eleanor Burke, who has stood by us faithfully through this difficult time, and her buddy and companion Benji. WALSH, Arthur Patrick (Paddy) – 78, of Petty Harbour, passed peacefully away at the L. A. Miller Centre, St. John’s, on Friday, January 14, 2005, after a courageous fight with cancer. Brother of Betty (Jim) Cusson and Lucy (Robert) Meaney. Predeceased by brothers and sisters: Annie (Ambrose) Donovan, John Walsh, William Walsh, James Walsh and Edward Walsh. Survived by sisters-in-law: Catherine, Joyce and Gladys, and many loving nieces and nephews: Tom, Edward, Anita, Marguerite, Ambrose, James, (the late) Lawrence, Noel, Corita, Joanne, Timothy, Lori, John, Brian, David, Peter, Craig, Paul and their families.
