Leaving to mourn his wife of 51 years, Mary (nee Sutton); Daughters: Marie Rich (Richard), children, Dawn, Janice, Angie, Rochelle; great-granddaughter Terra; Janice Gosse, children Carol and Laura; Cathy Morrissey (John) and children Stephen and Mariah; Alma McNiven (Curtis) and their children Jeremy and Victoria; Sons: Doug and his son Martin; Wallace (Rosemary) and their son Jonathon; daughter-in-law Mary Thorne-Gosse; special friend Theresa Redmond; also a large circle of other relatives and friends in the Gosse and Sutton families. GOULDING, Marie (Kinsella) - Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer at the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre on Saturday, March 12th, 2005. Marie Goulding, age 59 years of Logy Bay. Predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Mary Agnes Kinsella, special aunt Madeline McDonald, father-in-law Stephen Goulding and brother-in-law Eddie Woodfine. Left with fond and precious memories are her husband of 37 years Cecil; daughter Janet Cooney (Keith); sons: Stephen and Sean (Rhonda); very cherished and adored grandchildren: Chantel, David, Chad and Rachel; mother-in-law May Goulding; four brothers: Gus, Paul, Kevin (Carolyn) and Donald (Wanda); two sisters: Anne Woodfine and Patsy Quigley (Joey); brothers-in-law: Cliff (Effie), Lloyd (Yvonne) and Aubrey (Viola); sisters-in-law Doreen Walsh (Steven) and Glenda Goulding; lifetime friends Vic and Dot Fleming, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. HICKEY, Garrett - Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre on Sunday March 13, 2005, Garrett Hickey, aged 75 years, formerly of Little Paradise, Placentia Bay. Predeceased by his wife Mena (2000); his parents John and Monica; as well as nine brothers and sisters Donald, Patrick and Jack Hickey, Mary Chisholm, Mary Brennan, Jack Pearson, Maud Brennan, Cicely Houlihan, Peter Pearson. Leaving to mourn five sons: James, Bernard, Gerard, David (Carol) and Douglas; One daughter Theresa (Greg) Barbour; six grandchildren Patrick Hickey, Mark Hickey, Natasha and Alysha Hickey, Nicolas and Katherine Barbour. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Irene (Bob) Norton, Theresa Shamon and brother Bernard (Dorothy) Hickey; sisters-in-law Beth (Peter) Ryan, Rose (Bob) Stacey, Josephine Hiscock, Ethnea (Charlie) Guiney, Tina (Doug) Chaytor, Mary (Pat) Hickey and Ethel (Jack) Hickey; Gary will be especially missed by his best buddy Gerry Houlihan; also extended family and many other relatives and friends. Leaving to mourn his brothers Mike (Jen), Jack (Faye), Dave (Lorraine), Brian (Joan), Bert (Brenda) his guardian and caregiver with whom he resided; his sisters Catherine (Lloyd Kelly), Mary (John Dunne), Anne (Jeff Barton), Eileen (Eddie McKay), Maureen (Gary Rumbolt); also a large number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. HURLEY, Joan Mary (nee Foley) - "A gentle heart has stopped beating". Slipped peacefully from this world and into eternal rest at the Miller Centre, Tuesday, March 22, 2005 in the presence of her loving son, Shaun, Joan Mary Hurley, age 77 years after a courageous battle with cancer and emphysema. Predeceased by her son: Bill (December 29, 2004); darling granddaughter: Maria Hurley (September 18, 1989); her parents: Mary and Fergus Foley; brothers: Bernard and Dan, and sisters: Christine Lovett and Eileen Meaney and a special niece: Joan (Lovett) Power. Left with precious and loving memories: son: Shaun (Barb); daughter: Maria (Fintan) Benoit, (Kippens, NL); daughter-in-law: Rose Anna Campbell (Timmins, Ontario); three precious grandchildren: Shaun Hurley, Melanie Hurley and Daniel Benoit; sister: Marie (Pat) Bradley (California); brother-in-law: Jim Meaney; two special nephews: Bob Lovett and Mike Foley and special cousin: John Doyle. Also leaving to mourn many nieces and nephews, friends from St. Patrick's Church, especially Monseigneur James Doody and members of the Legion of Mary. Theresa Kavanagh
KAVANAGH, Theresa - It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family of Theresa Kavanagh announce the passing of a devoted aunt and friend. She slipped peacefully away, at home, on Tuesday, March 08, 2005. She was ninety-one years, four months. Theresa was predeceased by her sister and best friend, Agnes, 2000; her brothers George, 1999, Cyril, 1999 and Edward 1967 and her sister-in-law Loretta (Harvey) Kavanagh, 1965. She will be forever missed by the family she helped raise: Gregg (wife Diane, children Bradley and Brandon), with whom she resided; Ed, Donna (Ian Atkinson) and Patricia Corbett (Gerry). She was a very special aunt to her many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly. A very special thank-you to Diane Kavanagh for her endless devotion, to Dr. Joanne MacIntyre, whose dedication is unmatched, and whose help was immeasurable in fulfilling Theresa s wish to die at home, and to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, L. WAKEHAM-LANDRY, Elaine - Passed peacefully away on February 17th, 2005, at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Clinic, Houston, Texas, after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents, Howard and Almena and sister Sharon Miller. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband, Fred Landry (Houston, Texas); brother Howie; nephews: Jason, Scott and Michael Miller and special friends Carol Morris and Debbie Miller (Houston), as well as aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. LYVER, Allan Joseph - Passed peacefully away on March 13, 2005 at St. Clare s Mercy Hospital after a lengthy battle with heart disease, Allan Joseph Lyver, aged 86 years. 53 year member of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop March Council No. 3315. Predeceased by his wife Veronica (nee Hogan), parents John and Margaret; sisters Elizabeth and Josephine; brothers Jack, Patrick, Leonard, Andrew and James. Leaving to mourn daughter Marion (Eamonn) Burlington, Ontario; son Chris (Celeste), Mount Pearl; four grandchildren: Allan, Daniel, Emily and Sasha; special nephew Bill March (Patricia); special niece Sister Patricia March; special cousin Tom Quirk (Mary); close friend Jim Healey and a large circle of family and friends.
