O’NEILL, James Wilson (June 1, 1923- April 22, 2006) – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear father James O’Neill in his 83rd year after a courageous battle with Cancer. Predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years Ellen O’Neill, two brothers Francis and Leo and two sisters Bride and Hannah. Left with fond and loving memories are his sons: Gerard (Donna), Jim (Jenny), Brian (Denise), Gary (Delia), Carl (Kristen), Ward (Michele); daughters: Diane (Mark) Cleveland, Margaret (Andy) Hack and Denise (Dean) Collins; one brother: Michael (Stella) O’Neill; sisters-in-law: Theresa O’Neill and Mary St. Croix; brothers-in-law: Patrick (Madonna) Ward and Francis Molloy; 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mary Parsons; parents-in-law Albert and Florence Noseworthy and special aunt Annie Parsons. Leaving to mourn his sad loss are his loving wife of 30 years, Marilyn; sons Geoff (Bev) and Brian; daughters: Tammy, Una, Lisa and Charlene; two precious granddaughters Alyssa and Justine; his 8 brothers, 5 sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, special neighbour Florence Mulley and a large circle of relatives and friends. Left with a lifetime of loving memories are her husband Patrick, sons Frank (Heather), Harold (Janice), daughter Catherine Steele (Richard and step-sons Richard and Ryan) an her very “special” children David, Mary Ann and Gordon; her precious grandchildren Darren and Francis Ryan; Matthew, Nicholas and Victoria Ryan. Marguerite M. Ryan
RYAN, Marguerite M. - passed away peacefully on April 22, 2006 at the Masonic Park Nursing Home. Marguerite (Marg) Ryan (nee Moriarity) in her 94th year. Marguerite was born in Harbour Grace but lived in St. John’s most of her life. Marguerite had a passion for life and loved to travel. She lived in Toronto from 1981-1995. Marguerite loved people and was very active in several bowling leagues and enjoyed a good game of cards. Marguerite is predeceased by her husband Jerome and her parents William and Josephine (Hayden) Moriarity, eight siblings and one great grandchild Danielle Chafe. Marguerite leaves to mourn her seven loving children Gerald, James (Shirley), Joan Anning (Clair), Ron (Jean), Bill (Ruby), David (Nettie) and Marilyn Cummings, all of St. John’s except Joan who lives in Cambridge Ontario. Marguerite also leaves to mourn 23 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, her husband of 51 years, Michael; her two daughters, Gladys (Nat Hutchings) and Theresa/Tree (Lisa Zigler); her sister Dolly (Jackie Ershler) and her brother Richard (Anita); her 6 grandchildren 8 great grand children, special uncle and aunt Gordon and Kay Clements of Petty Harbour, and a large circle of relatives and friends. Left with loving memories are her mom Anna Williams (Paul Cleary); her brother Chuck (Danielle); her uncles Clar Ivany (Denise), Willis Ivany (Terri-Lynn), Keith Ivany (Josie); aunt Lorraine Follett and very special aunt Susan McCarthy. Also her very best friend Natasha Rumbolt who was always by her side. Her cousins Michael and Amy, Tanner and Autum, Shane, Ashtin and Melissa, Nicole and Nadia. Her favorite nurse Cathy Clarke.
