Peacefully at the Montreal General Hospital on February 27th, 2002. Wife of the late Henry Rosen. Loving mother of Jeff (Marney). Grandmother of Andre and Daniel. Sister of Lucianne Sisco and the late Maurice and Adrian. A special thanks to her special friends Frank Edwards and Audrey Arsenault for their care and compassion. 1916 - 2004
After a lengthy illness borne with faith and courage at the Royal Victoria Hospital on November 28th, 2004. Beloved husband of Irene Rowley. Devoted father of Thomas, Sylvia (Louis Robayo), Margaret (Michael Glynn) and the late Peter (Jo lle Desparmet). Dear grandfather of Sarah (Chris Kennedy), Kate, Daniel, Joseph, Christopher and the late Alexandra. Brother of John and the late Rita. Uncle of Anne (John Howe). Will be rememberd by his great-nieces and great-nephews.Arthur was born on a farm in Hastings County, Ontario. He attended Queen s Medical School from which he graduated in 1947. He began his medical career as a general practitioner in Sarnia, Ontario, where he met his future wife, Irene. In 1953 he began his specialty training in anaesthesia at McGill University. He practiced with utmost devotion to his patients at the Montreal Children s and the Royal Victoria Hospital. He was also for a time head of the department of anaesthesia at the Shriner s Hospital. He was a pioneer in cardiac anaesthesia in the 1950 s in Montreal. Another of his passions was his lake home in the Laurentians with his family.
Funeral Mass at Parish of Annunciation Church (corner Laird and Alexander) on Wednesday, December 1st at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive condolences at the church half an hour prior to the Mass. Peacefully at Foyer Dorval on September 18th, 2003 at the age of 94. Wife of the late Peter Smorong. Loving mother of Kevin (Margaret). Grandmother of Stephanie and Geoffrey. Sister of Christopher. Peacefully at the Hawkesbury General Hospital on July 13th, 2003 in her 86th year. Wife of the late Paul Frentz Sorensen. Dear mother of Margaret (Simon Lagimodi re), Janet (Brian Delo), Charles, Peter, David and Matthew (Julia Clarke). Loving grandmother of Sarah and Michael Lagimodi re, Jennifer and Heather Delo, and Hannah Sorensen. Friends wishing to pay their respects may do so by attending a memorial service, in her memory, on July 19th at 4:00 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church of Hudson. Peacefully, after a lengthy illness on August 12th, 2003. Served his country well in 2 wars. Brother of the late Ida, Ernie, Les, Ed, Norman and Lena. Survived by his niece Barbara (Phil) and numerous other nieces and nephews. It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved mother at the Ottawa General Hospital on Saturday, October 25, 2003. Cherished wife of the late John Bartholemew Sweeney. Devoted mother of Susan (Richard Hermon), Lynn (Robert A. Grassby), Joanne, David (Karen Ford) and the late Dan Sweeney. Loving grandmother of Julia, Brian, Katie, Ryan and Robyn. Daughter of the late Fred Steenburg and Mary Greenan. Dear sister of Helene Graham. She died peacefully with her family by her side. She was a lovely gracious lady with a gentle spirit who blessed the lives of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones.
