Phyllis Euphrosyne Marie (Martin) Arsenault, 71 years, Alma PEI, passed away on March 15, 2003, at the Western Hospital, Alberton, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Alma (Blanchard) Martin. Predeceased by Andrew, her loving husband. Devoted mother of Brian (Brenda Mason), Dartmouth; Sandra (deceased); Sylvie Arlene, Caledonia, PEI; Karen Verboom (Jim), Middle Musquodoboit, NS; Sharon (Dave Nicolls), Vancouver, BC; Lorraine (deceased); Grant (Joan Sarty-Arsenault), Lantz, NS; Lorna Levante (Marc), Germany; Andrea (Michael Small), Toronto; Keith (Theresa Benere-Arsenault), Enfield, NS; Norman (Sharon), Middle Musquodoboit, NS; Fawn Vaitkus (Vytas), Delta, BC; and Christopher (Debbie Reimer), Canning, NS. M m of Jennifer (Kevin), Lydia, Haida, Luke (Lindsay), Sarah, Hannah, Andy, Alexander, Kelsey, Chantal, Devon, Joel, Aleck, Logan, Brian, Melanie, Taylor, Honor and Caleb. Sister to Gerald (Lillian), Ernest (deceased), Lorraine (deceased), Peter (Glenna), Reg (Doris), Wayne (Wendy) and Ron (Valerie). Sister-in-law to Rose Perry, Henry and Evelyn Arsenault, Dennis Arsenault and Mary Anne Nelligan. She will also be sadly missed by her pet companions, Shadow, her dog, and Tyke & Tiger, her cats.
Phyllis gave generously all her life of her love, time and compassion. The seniors at Phillips Senior Residence, the Maplewood Manor, the Davis Lodge and the Co-op Senior Residence, the Tignish Co-op Health Centre and the Catholic Women s League were all beneficiaries of her kindness. She was always ready to help at St. Simon and St. Jude Church. And she collected for numerous charities.
Resting at Rooney s Funeral Home, Alberton, for funeral mass at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 19. Visiting hours Tuesday, March 18, 2 4 p.m. and 7 9 p.m. The Tignish council of the CWL will hold a prayer vigil Tuesday afternoon at 1:45pm. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Western Hospital would be appreciated.
