Beloved husband of the late Muriel (nee Dixon. Loving father of John (Frances), Arlene (Merrill) MacPhail, Donald (Marcy). Proud grandfather to Connie (Peter) McQuaid, Colleen (Norman) McIntosh, Margo (Russell) Slobodon, Lester (Bonnie) Robertson, Helena (Lem) McVane, Darlene (David) MacDonald, Gail Robertson and Tony Gauthier, Lucas Robertson. Great-grandfather to Melissa MacDonald, Sonya, Morgan, McIntosh, Elizabeth, Michael, Heather, Meaghan McQuaid, Trevlyn Slobodon. Also left to mourn is sister Hilda Little and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by infant daughter Elsie Colleen, Son-in-law Horace MacDonald, brothers Lester, Jack, Jimmy, Willy, Alvin, Fulton, Eddie, Peter, Freddy, sisters Mabel, Olive and Lydia.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home Souris for visiting hours on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Friday afternoon from the East Point United Baptist Church Kingsboro with funeral service at 2 p.m. Internment in the Kingsboro Church.

Dear husband of Zilla (nee MacInnis). Cherished father of Brian (Naida) of Connecticut, Matt (Lynda) of Souris Line Rd. , Kevin of Vancouver,Paul (Stella) of Whitehorse, Laura (Doran) Donovan of Halifax, and Marie of Halifax. Loving poppy to Patricia, Graham, Nelly,Becky, Laura, Sarah, Andrew, John, Emma and Alexis. Also left to mourn and sadly missed by Sisters and brothers Elda Whalen, Andrew, Sandy, Hugh, Harold, Sr. Lauretta CSM, Aiden, Martha MacDonald and numerous nieces and nephews. Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Charlottetown on Monday, November 22, 2004 of John Richard Hayden formerly of Greenwich aged 87 years. Beloved husband of Pearl (nee Squires). Predeceased by sisters Florence Ching (Lowell) and Amanda MacGregor (Harold). Richard is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews and the very kind staff at Corrigan Home where he resided for the past four years.
