Lidstone - The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Sunday, March 13, 2005, of Joan Lidstone, wife of the late Davis F. Lidstone, of 149 Milton Avenue, Summerside, aged 87 years. Daughter of the late Dr. R.N. and Blanche (McQuinn) Knowles. Survived by sons Richard D. 'Dick', Victoria, BC; Robin C., Summerside; grandchildren Chris (Juliet), Edmonton; Sean (Jane), Edmonton; Susan and Barb Lidstone, Halifax; Charles E., Toronto; by great-grandson 'Josh'; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother R.N. 'Bud' Knowles; sister Nancy Blanchard; brother-in-law Donald E. (Evelyn) Lidstone.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will later take place in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Doris MacKay
The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Tuesday, October 4, 2005, of Doris MacKay, of Summerside and formerly of Halifax, NS, aged 91 years.
Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jenetta (Cleversey) Gilkie. Survived by her son Graham (Lena), Wilmot Valley; grandchildren Darren (Lisa) MacKay, Charlottetown; Scott (Cheryl) MacKay, Summerside; great-grandchildren Colin, Reilly, Cameron, Alexander and Lauren; sister-in-law Hilda Gilkie, Halifax, NS; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson Darrell MacKay; sister Velma Lloy and by brothers Roy Gilkie and Cyril R. Gilkie.
No visiting hours by request. A memorial service will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax, NS, on Friday at 2:00 p.m., with Arch Deacon Peter Armstrong officiating. Ethel Jay
The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, October 4, 2005, of Ethel Jay, of 167 Fitzroy Street, Summerside, aged 88 years. Born at Millburn, she was the daughter of the late William and Susan (Pyke) Cobb.
Survived by children Elmer (Adele), Baltic; Glenda (Lorne) Wensley, Saskatoon; Reg, Summerside; Sterling (Shelley MacInnis), Summerside; Blair (Heather Bernard), Summerside and Roger, Cape Traverse; by 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Roy Jay; brother John Cobb; sisters Ruth MacKay, Muriel MacKinnon and Lena MacKinnon.

The death occurred at the Langley Memorial Hospital, Langley, BC, on Saturday, October 22, 2005, of Vans Freeman Pye of Langley and formerly of Lot 16, aged 61 years. He was the son of the late George and Dena Pye of Central Lot 16. Vans is survived by his wife Carolyn; his daughter Michelle; son Warren and their mother Jennie McNeill all of B.C.; 2 step-children Cynthia and Douglas and 4 step- grandchildren.
