Margaret “Lou” Mary Gallant
The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, of Margaret 'Lou' Mary Gallant, of 228 Duke Street, Summerside, aged 89 years.
Born at Summerside, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Julia (Blacquiere) Gallant.
Survived by her sons Donald (friend Peggy); Lloyd 'Toy Toy'(Sandra) and Arnold (Darlene) Gallant, all of Summerside; by grandchildren John (friend Shirley), Sandy (Jennifer), Tony (Linda), Jason (Kelly), Amanda, Reggie and Melanie; by great-granddaughters Jayden and Shania; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Aubin Gallant; by sons Everett and Ralph; two daughters in infancy; a grandson James Aubin; brothers Lloyd, William and Vernie Gallant; and by a sister Lena DeCoste.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Thursday then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Wednesday from 3:30-5:00 and 7-9 p.m.

Ida Belle Gillis
At her late residence, on Sunday, May 23, 2004, of Ida Belle Gillis, of 176 Cedar Street, Summerside and formerly of Thistle and Shamrock, aged 93 years.
Born at Rose Valley, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Belle (MacIntosh) MacDonald, and was the last surviving member of her family. Beloved wife of the late Samuel Gillis and mother of Gladys and Catherine Gillis, both of Summerside; Lorraine (James) Crowe, Oakville, Ontario; and the late Don (Eleanor) Gillis, Summerside. Survived by her grandchildren Deborrah Gillis (Kevin), Dartmouth, N.S.; Dale (Marilyn) Gillis, Summerside; James Crowe Jr., Oakville, Ontario; and by great-grandchildren Sam and Taylor Gillis.
Predeceased by brothers William, Samuel, and Roland MacDonald; by sisters Christina Bell, Elizabeth MacDonald and Katherine Oaks and by two siblings in infancy.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Interment in the Springton Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to Trinity United Church would be appreciated.
Keith Arsenault
Arsenault - The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, May 24, 2004, of Keith Arsenault, of 358 Duke Street, Summerside, aged 82 years.
Born at Summerside, he was the son of the late George and Emma Arsenault, and was the last surviving member of his family.
Survived by his special friend and companion Mary Ellen 'Joie' Gallant; Step-daughter Carolyn (Wayne) Rogers, Summerside; by grandchildren Korey, Adam and Kurt Rogers; and by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers Eddie, Charlie, Arthur, Clarence, Raymond, Walter and Cecil Arsenault and by sisters Doris Grady and Edith St. Peter.

Anita Laughlin
The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, June 7, 2004, of Anita Laughlin, of Wedgewood Manor and 215 Foundry Street, Summerside, aged 69 years.
Born at St. Nicholas, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Eva (Poirier) Perry.
Survived by her husband Roy Laughlin, Summerside; daughters Tammy Laughlin, Summerside; Kelley (Wayne) Wright, Summerside; son Tom (Roxanne), Stratford ; grandchildren Savannah, Ty and Maya Wright; by a brother Anthony (Barbara) Perry, Summerside and a sister Lorraine (Ronald) Bourgeois, Dieppe, N.B., and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Doreen in infancy and Zelma Doucette .

Reginald B. Praught
The death of Reginald B. Praught, of Saint John West, occurred suddenly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, August 1, 2003. Born in Wellington Centre, PEI, he was the son of Louis Praught of PEI and the late Myrtle (Barry) Praught.
Reg loved to play crib and golf and was always ready to lend a helping hand to others. He loved to barbeque and had even patented his own “Reggie Burger”.
He is survived by one son, Jason Praught (Carolyn), Edmonton, AB, one daughter, Mary-Ann Praught (Paul Masson), Saint John, their mother, Vanessa (Ross) Praught, seven brothers, Gerry, Jack (Gail), Leo (Susan), Brian (Lois), Mike (Camilla Aucoin), Kevin (Nelda) and Emmett (Nancy), all of PEI, one sister, Claire Colwill (Brian), PEI, his grandmother, Mary C. Barry of PEI, special friend, Pam Racette and her children, Jacqueline and Stephane, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Errol and Junior Praught, one sister-in-law Sheila.

The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, September 23, 2004, of Christina Landry, of 7 Birch Crescent, Travellers Rest, aged 77 years.
Born at Oss, Holland, she was the daughter of the late Christanus and Johanna (VanDerVoort) Vanerp.
Survived by children Hanny (Carl) MacLeod, Winsloe; Myra (Chris) Vriends, Sherbrooke; Arnold (Pam) Landry, Wilmot Valley; Ronald (Ann) Landry, St. Eleanor’s; Katherine (Doug) LeLacheur, Winsloe; and Rob (Stephanie) Landry, Charlottetown; by 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Ricky (Bertus), Hanny (Tini), Nolly (Cor), all of Holland; by special sister Brigitte VanVliet, Summerside; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Alfred Landry.

The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Friday, September 24, 2004, of Douglas Walsh, formerly of Gaudet Crescent, Summerside, aged 78 years. Born in London, England, he was the son of the late Laurence and Agnes (Coulter) Walsh. Survived by a brother John (Judith) Walsh, England; nieces Catherine and Elizabeth Walsh, both of England; and by dear friends Dr. Rainer Zenner and Debby Chappell.

Helen Johnson
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Helen Johnson, of Ives Point, will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 2, 2004, at Trinity United Church, Summerside.
Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at the Church Hall, at which time the family would like to welcome her many friends.
Helen passed away peacefully on August 25, 2004. She was born in Summerside, the only daughter of the late Harry and Jean (MacArthur) Heffell.
She is survived by her loving husband Ralph; daughters Linda (Chris) Harrison, Ottawa; Joanne Baird (Jeremy Scarfe), Toronto and a son Charles Alan Baird, Calgary. She leaves four grandchildren Mark (Tanya) Harrison, Brockville; Peter Harrison (Lisa O’Gorman), Ottawa and Kimberly and Heather Baird, Calgary; by two great-grandchildren Tyler and Emilee Harrison; brothers Harry (Sheila) Heffell, Kensington and Lloyd (Barbara) Heffell, Montreal; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment will take place at Peoples Cemetery, Summerside, at 1:30 p.m.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Prince County Hospital Foundation.

The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Friday, October 1, 2004, of Mary Clark, of 310 North River Road and formerly of Summerside, aged 96 years.
Born at Georgetown, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Katherine (MacKinnon) Nicholson.
Survived by her children Katherine Richards, Summerside; Reagh (Claudia), Charlottetown; Roberta (Jim) Potts; Ottawa; Margie (Bill) Fowler, Halifax; Jim (Natalie), Summerside; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and by a sister Martha Citra, Victoria, BC. Predeceased by her husband Robert Clark; brothers Ivan, Ewen, Alexander, Harold and John Nicholson; and by sisters Dorothy Schurman, Frances Nicholson, Jean Nicholson, Helen Johnstone and Miriam Bracken.
