Dear grandmother of Terry and his wife Simmie, Janice and her husband Michael McGettrick, and Randy and her husband Barney McNielly. Fondly remembered by her 5 great-grandchildren and by her sisters Grace Gale, Edith Cooke and Winnie Smith. The family will receive friends at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby (905-668-3410) from 12 to 1pm Friday February 9, 2001. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 1pm. WILDMAN, WILLIAM
At Scarborough Centenary Hospital on Saturday, February 3rd, in the presence of his loving family and after a courageous struggle with numerous ailments. Born in St. Helen's, England in 1923, Bill was, like his brothers and father before him, a proud employee of Pilkington Glass. Bill served dutifully and with distinction in Bomber Command R. A. F. during the Second World War before emigrating to Canada in 1953 with his wife Joyce. Bill was a much respected and indeed beloved figure in the Canadian Glass industry working for both Pilkington Brothers Canada and its later forms Ford Glass and A. F. G. and for Beclawat Canada Ltd. Bill is survived by his loving wife Joyce, his sons Gary and Craig and their wives Debbie and Christine, and his much beloved grandson, Bill's "little man", Curtis William Wildman and also Candice and Colin Sheppard. Dear friends in mourning are many and include Les and Zona Pereira. Bill was the personification of kindness, gentleness and caring; those who knew him would agree that a finer man never walked the earth. He now walks among the angels. Cremation will be followed by a spring-time internment in Pine Hills Cemetery in Scarborough. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, Corps #106, H.M.C.S. Peacefully, on Friday, February 2, 2001 at the Southlake Health Centre in Newmarket, in his 79th year. Much loved husband of Betty (nee Wauchope). Proud and loving father of Paul (Linda), Anthony (Judy) and Scott (Sonia). He was a loving Grandpa of Jennifer, Ryan, Eric, Patrick and Connor. Survived by his mother, Leila in her 106th year. Predeceased by his father Bill and sister Arlene. Cremation has taken place, Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. PATTERSON, Estella (nee Dring)
passed away peacefully in Oshawa, on Friday, February 2, 2001, age 95. Beloved wife of the late Isaac Patterson. Loving mother of Patrick and his wife Diane and Allen and his late wife, Lorraine. Dear grandmother of Steve and his wife Jeong, Scott and his wife Lynda, Shelley Collins, Suzanne and husband Jack Bandy, Jason, Mark, Dean and Alison. Great-grandmother of Ryan, Shannon and Brandon. Dear sister of the late Feleda, Carleton, Beulah, Meredith, Verna, Elsie and Ethelda. Born in Cavan, Ontario, January 21, 1906, she was a lifelong resident of Oshawa and worked as night matron at the Children's Aid Society 1953-1972. Her sweet smile and wonderful sense of humour will be sadly missed by family and friends. Relatives and friends were received at McIntosh-Anderson, 152 King St. E., 152 King St. E. May your journey be gentle kind soul. 87 years of age passed away February 1, 2001 at Extendicare Falconbridge. Ioleen was born in Greenbank, Ontario November 15, 1913. She taught in Warren in 1942 and then farmed there with her husband, Ira Clinton (predeceased) for over 35 years. She loved being outside gardening and working on the farm. She is the loving mother of Don (wife Donna). Ellen (husband Gord). Neil (wife Bogna) Joan (partner Jean) and chosen daughter Marion (husband Lloyd). Beloved sister of Edith and George (predeceased) (wife Doreen). Grandmother of Megan, Robin, Brenden, Ryland, Luke, Sharon (husband Gilles), Tommy (predeceased). Great-Grandmother of Crystal (husband Steff) and Lana. Great-Great-grandmother of Scott and Beanca. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
