Dear father of Gloria and her husband Jack, Carol and her husband Brian, David and his wife Lynda and Sandra and her husband Joe. Grandfather of Ian, Mark, Sara, Julie and Amanda. Survived by his brothers Connie, Archie and sisters Leona, Mercedes and Odile. Resting at the Low and Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, 23 Main Street South, on Tuesday, July 3, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. In Roger's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, at Lakeridge Health Corp., Bowmanville, on Saturday, June 30, 2001, at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Robbins) for 26 years. Father of Diana and her husband Richard McAnsh of Bracebridge, Joan and her husband David Cooper of England, Susan and her husband Fred Moore of Guelph, step-father of Chuck and his wife Karen Goldhang of Ajax, and Allan Goldhang of Scarborough, grandfather of Cathy Terry of Collingwood, Stephen Terry and his wife Kim of Coldwater, Michelle Bird of Port Sydney, Kimberley Bird of Mississauga, Seta Moore of Guelph, and Rebekah McAnsh of Bracebridge, step-grandfather of Stacey and Brandon, great-grandfather of Cody, Chelsea, and Robin Terry of Collingwood, Sarah Terry of Coldwater and Owen Bird-Garvey of Port Sydney. Predeceased by his parents Jack Butler and Mary-Ellen Kingston, brothers Herbert, Jack, Douglas, George and sisters Nellie, Edith, Mabel, and Dorothy. SLATER, Mark
Mark died at the Lakeridge Hospital, Uxbridge on Saturday, June 30, 2001 surrounded by the love of his family and those special friends who supported him in the last 5 years. Mark leaves wonderful memories and inspiration for his wife Julie and son Matt, and his fianc Juliette. Mark will be missed by his mother Marie (and father, the late Jack) Slater, brother Dave and his wife Donna, and nephew Shawn. Julie's family, Elinor and Walter Beauchamp, sister Kathy, brother Terry (and Helen), and late brother-in-law Bruce (and Tina) plus the nieces and nephews will miss Mark's love and energy. Mark was a dedicated, positive educator teaching in the Scarborough Secondary School Board for 30 years, a coach, an involved community member and always a good friend. Mark was involved in the Terry Fox Run for 20 years. Mark played Varsity basketball and football at University of Toronto, and continued to play with various basketball teams until last year. Mark and Julie travelled around the world and back, and Mark encouraged Matt and Juliette to travel and enrich their lives with the exposure and involvement of other cultures. Mark wished that people would take more time to have a coffee with friends at Tim's and for families to use the multitude of driveway basketball nets more often. The visitation will be Friday, July 6th, 2001 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., followed by the service at 2:30 p.m. sharp, at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge. Peacefully, surrounded by his family at Lakeridge Health, Port Perry on Friday June 29, 2001 in his 79th year. John gratefully joined Olive his wife and best friend. John will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children George Gauld and his wife Marg, Linda Groen and her husband Jim, Olive Bothwell and her husband Bob, John Lazdins and his wife Cindy, predeceased by sons Verne Gauld and Andrew Lazdins. Went to be with her Lord at Extendicare Nursing Home (Oshawa) on Wednesday June 27th. She was to celebrate her 99th July 21. Ivy, beloved wife of the late Fulton Kendrick. She leaves behind to miss her two daughters Barbara Farley of Winnipeg, Shirley and her husband Robert Finlay of Burlington; sons Nelson Hatfield and his wife Joyce of Oshawa, Sinclair Hatfield and his wife Rose of Calgary Alberta. Step-daughters Helen and her husband Avard Lee of Newmarket, Leora and her husband Leonard Tingley of Digby N.S., Vera and her husband Bert Hopkins of Ottawa. Step sons Alpheus and Carl Kendrick. Predeceased by sons Ernest, Arthur, Gerald, and Allan. She was a wonderful grandmother to 28 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Kendrick will be resting at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel 110 Dundas Street East Whitby Ontario on Thursday 7 to 8 pm with a special Funeral Service at 8 pm. Then Mrs. Kendrick will be transferred to the H.M. Huskilson, Funeral Home in Barrington Nova Scotia for visitation on Sunday July 1st, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Service in Barrington Monday 1 p.m. Burial Riverdale Cemetery Shelburne County Nova I Scotia. We would like to say Thank You to Extendicare for taking wonderful care of our mother for the last 13 years.

Friends will be received at the Accettone Funeral Home, 384 Finley Ave., Ajax on Thursday, June 28th from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 11-2 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass will be held on Saturday at St. Bernadette Church, (21 Bailey St. E., Ajax) at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
