Joseph was born in Trinidad on November 26, 1920 and graduated from the Tufts Medical School in Boston, Mass., U.S.A. in 1949. He was a family practitioner/obstetrician in Trinidad, Whitby and Scarborough. Former Chief of Staff of the Whitby Hospital. Funeral Mass will be held on June 30th at 11 a.m. at St. Bernadette's Church (21 Bailey St. E., Ajax). Cremation to follow. In loving memory of Allan Shields who passed away at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Tuesday, June 26th, 2001. He is survived by Mary Ellen, his wife of 62 years; his oldest sister lnez, his sons David and Donald; and their wives Zonia and Joelle; his grandsons Allan, Shawn, Cameron and Scott; and his great granddaughters Alexandria and Samantha. Allan retired from CIBC in 1968 after 41 years of service. He took an active role in the community and was a member of St. Marks Church in Whitby, the Kinsmen and Rotary clubs, and the Whitby Curling Club. He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
