Bruce was involved in D Day plus 1 in Normandy and served in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Bruce was the Clerk of the Village of Pickering, Deputy Clerk for Ontario county and retired as a Deputy clerk for the Region of Durham in 1985.)
