Born in Sudbury April 27, 1933, passed away suddenly after a short illness at her home on October 28th, 2001, in her 69th year. Beloved wife of Jack. Loving mother of son John (Jack) Alfred Hurren and his companion Sue Cousins, daughter Cindy Lynn Graziotto and her companion Preston Henderson. Eileen is predeceased by her son Larry James Hurren, her parents Peter and Stella Strychalski and her brothers Peter Star and Joseph Strychalski. She is survived by sisters Ann Lecuyer, Kay Nemish and her husband Jim, Kerlyeen Cple and her husband Bill, Helen Richards and her husband Carvel, sister in law of Fran Starr all of Oshawa and sister in law Gwen Strychalski of Alberta. Lovingly remembered by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Eileen will be remembered and sadly missed by her devoted family and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a long time resident of Oshawa. Her generous spirit continues as she has donated the gift of sight. Eileen will be resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday November 1, 2001 at 11 a.m. from Holy Cross Church (373 Simcoe St. S.). It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of this remarkable gentleman at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on October 27th, 2001 in his 99th year. He was born in Hastings Co., England. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruby. Later he was a good friend of the late Nellie Hull and her family.
