McDowall-Senko, Jill Ruth
Former Whitby employee. With great sorrow, Lauretta I. McDowall announces on October 14, 2001 the passing of her only child Jill. Jill fought a valiant battle against cancer for 4 years. Jill was born and raised in the Beaches area of Toronto. She moved to Whitby in 1990 due to her marriage to Greg. She spent the last months of her life with her Mom and two super puppies, Cricket and Ashley at Rice Lake, her childhood vacation area, where she learned and taught water skiing. She was 41. Jill had just finished 6 months of chemo. Her Mom would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Princess Margaret Hospital, especially the nurses on 18B, for all their care and dedication during this difficult time. Also all the VON, St. Elizabeth and Access Care Workers for all their T.L.C. during her final months. Donations to Princess Margaret Hospital would be appreciated. Thank-you all so much Lauretta I. Loving mother of Roger (Yvonne) of Eganville, Barbara (Richard) Howe of Newcastle, Jim (Margaret) of Orillia and Karen (Fred) Cashin of Orono. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Ada Potts of Marmora, daughter Deborah, sisters Mary and Gertrude, Brothers Gerry and Clayton. Myrtle will be lovingly remembered by her thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and three greatgreat grandchildren. (George was born in Siberia to the late Joseph Eras and his late wife Helena Korzeniewicz, where he survived, until moving to Poland. Jeff passed away peacefully at the Centenary Hospital, on Friday, October 12, 2001, at the age of 41. Loving husband of Rose and adoring father of Matthew and Jennifer. Jeff will be deeply missed by his parents, family and friends. He worked in the restaurant business in the G.T.A. for more than 20 years. He was an ardent baseball fan and enthusiastic coach of the Pickering Red Sox. CARTER, James Edwards Ill
Died on Wednesday, October 10th at 75 years young, af ter a lengthy struggle against cancer. He is survived by his mother Addie Carter and his five children Sean, Natasha, Kim, James, Darryl and many nieces, nephews and friends, as well, his many surrogate children who knew him as Pops . We hope that he finds peace in death and knows always how much he is loved. The pain that is left with his death is almost more than can be beared.
