FERRY, Helen Patricia (nee Farquharson)
A great lady has graced our lives and left this world. Surrounded by her loving family in prayer, at home on Wednesday, November 14th, 2001, after a faith filled and wonderful life. Born in Cardiff, Wales, January 20, 1929, the daughter of Tom and Pearl Farquharson (deceased). Cherished wife of Ernest for more than 47 years; he will miss dearly, the love of his life. Devoted and loving mother to six children: Patricia and Don Robertson, Paula and Jim Wineck, Chris and Karen, Peter and Pauline, Jacqueline and David Flynn, Madeleine and Roy Marriott. Loving Gran to twenty two who will sadly miss their "Ga". She is survived by her two sisters, Margaret Mullane and Pam Canham, and predeceased by her brothers Don and Tammy and grandchildren Alanna and Aaron. Remembered always by her life- long friend Gwyneth Moffat of Wales. Helen enjoyed a successful and distinguished career as an award-winning Real Estate Agent for over 32 years and was a well respected Associate Broker with Royal LePage up until her illness. Passionate about her work, Helen's wisdom, expertise and never-ending kindness towards others will be sorely missed by many colleagues and clients. An active parishioner, Helen ran the church library, was an Auxiliary Minister to the sick, an advocate for the disabled, and co-founder of The Rose of Durham. Her faith in God and devotion to Our Lady were an inspiration to all who knew her. We love you mum. Thank you for the gift of faith, the gift of each other, and for all you have done for us. We will never know a more giving person and we will cherish you always. A Registered Nurse for over 60 years, Helen retired from Fairview Lodge, she worked at Dunlop Tires as well as at other Medical Institutions. She also taught at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario. passed away peacefully at Ajax, Pickering Health Centre on Wednesday, November 14, 2001 in her 79th year. Helen, beloved wife of the late Norman. Loving mother of Colleen and her husband Ross McGillivray and their family. Predeceased by her brother Raymond Lawrence. At Helen's request there will be no visitation and no service. Cremation with Interment at Woodstock, Ontario. Greatest Poppa in the world to his 4 grandchildren, Dakota, Quinn, Danika and Landon Watson. Dear brother of Richard and his wife Elaine and loving uncle of Craig and Chris Butler, his wife Lisa and their son Kyle. Fond brother-in-law to Linda Clark and her late husband Ron. Ron will be sadly missed by all the friends made over the past 25 years at the Go Kart tracks. His two cats Brandee and Bently will surely be lost without their daily affection from Ron.
