Dear father of Richard and loving grandfather of Kaitlyn Napper. Brother of James Napper, John, Wayne and Jim Hunter, Mary Lou Best and Barbara Ann Heaney. Will be sadly missed by nephews James J. and Victor Napper, James and Wayne Hunter Jr. and nieces Tara Burk and Barbara Anne Hunter. Also survived by great niece Kirsten Burk. Rested at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East Oshawa, where funeral service was held on Tuesday December 18 at 1 p.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Visitation was held Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Suddenly at his home in Schumacher, Ontario, on Friday, December 14, 2001, in his 44th year. Beloved husband to Carmen (Karen) Paul for nine years. Father to Cheyenne. Survived by his parents Roland and Gladys Bernier of Tobermory, Ontario, his brother Roland and his wife Sandra of Whitby, his sisters Belinda Eldridge and her husband Wayne Bradley of Oshawa, Ontario,Kathy Bernier of Newcastle, Ontario, Judy Facey and her husband Nicholas of Oshawa, Ontario, Anna Bernier and her husband John Loveman of Port Hope, Ontario. Survived by nieces and nephews: Chellee, Scott, Sharon, Jeremy, Brian, Patty, Jeff, William, Ayla, Robert, Kyle, and Evan. Great uncle to Kathryn. A service and burial will take place Friday at 11:00 am at MOUNT LAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS Cemetery Chapel, 2000 Dundas St. East, Whitby, Ontario.

Loved father of Beverley Tullett and her husband Stephen of Newcastle, Shirley Maich and her husband Richard of Cambridge and stepfather of Tommy Goodings and his wife Jenny of Toronto. NEALE, John Henry
Past President ( 4 years) of the South Pickering Senior Citizens Club, Veteran of W.W.II, Sicily, Italy and Europe. At the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre on Friday December 14, 2001 in his 88th year. John was the beloved husband of the late Edna May (nee Goyit) who predeceased him in 1986, and loving father of James T. Neale. John is survived by his brother Edward G. Neale and his wife Janis, and his grandchildren Kelly-Lynn and Blake, and his great grandchildren Billy and Brittanie. Nieces and nephews Thomas, Paul, Gordon, Ann-Marie, Gerry, Shawn, Jason, Timothy, and Theo will have many loving memories of Uncle John. The family received friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. on Sunday. The Funeral Service was held in the chapel on Monday December 17, 2001 at 11:00 am. Following the service, John was buried with Edna at Erskine Cemetery in Pickering. AIKEN, Vivian Jean
(March 12, 1948 December 13, 2001). Peacefully after a short and courageous fight with brain cancer at Lakeridge Health Oshawa surrounded by family and friends. Vivian is survived by her husband Raymond of Whitby, her mother and stepfather, Betty and Jack Lee of Brooklin and her brother Donald Harris of Whitby. Vivian was educated at Hillcrest Public School and at Henry Street High School in Whitby. In 1970 Vivian graduated from the two-year Medical Secretarial program at Durham College in Oshawa. For the next 25 years Vivian was employed as a Medical Secretary. For 21 of those years Vivian was employed by Dr. DH Epstein of Whitby and was well know to the many Whitby area families who were patients of Dr. Epstein. For the past 11 years Vivian shared her love for creativity by teaching others the many aspects of sewing. Cuddly bears and other crafts were lovingly created. Wearable art and quilts of all sizes and difficulty were painstakingly crafted. Her "angels", "elves", and other students miss herbut she will live on in every stitch they sew. The family would like to express its gratitude to the many medical personnel whose professionalism and dedication contributed to extending Vivian's life and ensuring her comfort and well being. In particular, the family would like to express it's gratitude to Dr. Porter and the nursing staff of ward 5A at Toronto Western Hospital, Dr. Laparriere and Dr. Thompson and the nursing staff of Ward 17A at Princess Margaret Hospital, Dr. Wilk and Dr. Devost and the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit (Ward 6F) at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Thanks also to Dr. Warren Ke. In addition, special thanks to the support staff at all three hospitals that assisted Vivian's family through a difficult and trying time. Lastly, a heartfelt thanks to Rev. Issa Saliba for his spiritual guidance and support. Vivian was caregiver to Cleo, Dudley, Muffin and Meggie who will miss her gentle touch and kindness. Vivian was a beautiful, caring, gifted and gentle woman. She will be sadly missed by all those whose lives she touched. The family will receive friends at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby on Saturday December 15 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday December 16 from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St Andrews Presbyterian Church, 209 Cochrane Street, Whitby at 2:00 p.m. on Monday December 17, followed by cremation. She is survived by her sister-in-law Mildred Long of Guelph, nieces Elizabeth Schumaker (Millard) of Kingston, Martha Arthurs of Alberta, and her nephews Donald (Jayne) Long of Toronto, Russell Long of Guelph and Ed (Diane) Long of Montreal. She was predeceased by her sister Nora McKnight.
