(Retired 28 year ewployee of T.T.C.). At Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa on Tuesday, December 4, 2001. Gordon, beloved husband of June (nee Watson) for 51 years. Dear father of Gordon, Paul, Norman and his wife Terry, Janice and her husband Patrick Carey, Douglas and Donna. Loving Pappa of Erin and her husband Jerrad, Carl, Amanda and Rhiannon. Brother of John Clements and the late Norma Gray. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the McINTOSH- ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Friday, December 7, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton. Donations made in memory of Gordon to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

Jimmy Flynn of Port Perry and formerly of Scarborough, beloved husband of Imelda (nee McKenna). Loving father of Ann, Noeleen, Nuala, and Brian. Cherished Grandpa of Devlin, Caitlin, Cameron, Shane, Colleen and Garrett. Relatives and friends will be received at the Wagg Funeral Home, ''McDermott-Panabaker Chapel'', 216 Queen Street in Port Perry on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 1722 Scugog Street in Port Perry on Friday, December 7th at 11 a.m. with Father Bernard Canning officiating. Private Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Children's Wish Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

At Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Tuesday, December 4, 2001. Edna (Castle) Gibson was the beloved wife of Bernard ''Bernie'' Gibson of Beaverton. Dear mother of Tim (Dory) of Sharon, Brian of Beaverton, Joey (Jane) of Keswick and Lynne (Ben) of Hillsdale. Grandmother of Joanne, Amanda, Benjy, Robin and Katie Jane. Sister of Irene Keats of Newmarket, Marian (Harold) Stickwood of Barrie and Jim (Dorothy) Castle of Oshawa. The family will receive friends at the Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton ( 705-426-5777) on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton. GOLDSMITH, Beatrice
At Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Tuesday, December 4th, 2001 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Archie Goldsmith. Mother of the late James. Loving mother-in-law of Mary. Grandmother of Paul and his wife Claire, Clarke and his wife Dianne, John and his wife Brenda and the late Shelley. Lovingly remembered by seven great grandchildren. Sister of Edward Wright and his wife Dorothy. MACCARL, Vernon (Mickey)
Peacefully after a lengthy illness at Fairview Lodge, Whitby on Tuesday December 4th, 2001 in his 77th year. Survived by his daughter Tina Atkinson and husband Glenn, and son Kent MacCarl and wife Kelly and their mother Stella. Proud Grandfather of Chad, Chase, Lindley, Adam, and Ashley. Also survived by brother Ron MacCarl and wife Marion. Predeceased by his mother, father, Alice and Bill MacCarl. Mickey served on Whitby Council as well as being a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #112, Whitby. The family received friends at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 6th. A service was held in the chapel in Friday at 11 am. Cremation. In memoriam donations will be gratefully received at the Royal Canadian Branch #112, 117 Byron St. Whitby.

MARTIN, Lucy Elizabeth
At Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Tuesday, December 4, 2001 in her 94th year. Lucy, beloved wife of the late Marshall Parnaby Larue. Loved mother of Marion Martin of Oshawa, Bob and his wife Margie of Whitby, Margaret and her husband Verne Miller of Edmonton, Archie and his wife Sharon of Lotus, Douglas and his wife Joyce of Ottawa, Phyllis and her husband Ken Salmon of Weston and the late Ronald and Nancy. Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Morris Funeral Chapel, 4 Division St., Bowmanville on Friday from 1-2 p.m. Memorial Funeral Service complete in the Morris Chapel on Friday at 2 p.m. Interment of ashes in Bond Head Cemetery. Donations in Lucy's memory to the Charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated.

SMITH, Jean Margaret
Peacefully entered into rest on Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home, Beaverton. In her 84th year. Jean, beloved wife of Morley Smith. Dear mother of Shirley and her husband Barry Stemp, Harvey and his wife Judy Ward. Stepdaughter of Barbara and her husband Bill Meaner. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Cory, Angie, Linda and Steven. Resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, on Thursday, December 6, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the chapel on Friday, December 7th at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Uxbridge Cemetery. In Jean's memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

SMITH, Mary Pauline (Soanes)
Pauline Smith passed away at St. Michaels Hospital in her 76th year. Loving wife of the late Charles Merritt Smith. She was born in Oshawa, Ontario. Daughter of Mack and Vera Soanes, sister of Margaret, Catherine (deceased). Loving mother of Terry, David (deceased), Judy and Peggy. She left eight grandchildren Sean and Ryan Smith, Tammy, Dan and Beverley Pillman, Shawn, Shane and Jessica Rose, and one great-grandson Kyle, a loved daughter-in-law Beverley Smith and sons-in-law Peter Pillman and Jack Rose. Pauline passed away Tuesday December 4, 2001. Her choice was to be cremated and her ashes placed with her husband Charles and son David who passed away at eighteen years of age. A chapel service for family and friends will be held at McINTOSH- ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME Ltd., 152 King St. E. Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Friday December 7, 2001 at 1:30 PM with visiting from 12:30 PM. Interment of cremated remains at Oshawa Union Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Pauline to a Charity of ones choice would be appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. Michael Cusimano and 9th floor ICU staff, St. Michaels Hospital.

Loving mother of Ann Scholtes and her husband Hank of Oshawa, Mary Rivest and her late husband Robert of Quebec, John and his wife Louise of Oshawa, and Gerald and his wife Therese of Quebec. Dear grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of many. Helen is survived by one sister in Holland.
