Beloved husband of Connie, dear father of Pat Robinson and her husband Ross of Newtonville, and Chris and his wife Barb of Oshawa. Lovingly remembered by his three grandchildren, Natasha and Tony Lund and Shelby Foster , and his great-grandson Avery Wauby. Don is lovingly remembered by twin brother Dave Foster and his wife Donna Stacey of Whitby, and his 4 sisters, Audrey Wallace and her husband Doug of Toronto, Sylvia Chatten and her husband Bert of Cobourg, Jean Taylor and her husband Neil of Fort St. James, B.C., and Vernita Bull of Bewdley. Don was predeceased by his parents Reginald and Victoria Foster of Whitby. Don is fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and forever will be remembered by his best friends and gardening partners, Janet Cullen and Harold Singerling. Loving brother of Marty and his wife Sue, and Andrea Powell. Dear uncle to Michael, Denise, Renee, Kiera. He is survived by his step-sisters Kim and Leann. Visitation will take place at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N., Bowmanville one hour prior to service. Funeral Service will be held in our Chapel 1 p.m. Wednesday. November 30, 2001 - February 15, 2002. After showing much courage and strength passed on at the Markham-Stouffville Hospital on Friday, February 13, 2002. Maddie was the treasured daughter of Lee-Ann Kant and James Dutkiewicz of Pickering. She will be forever remembered by her great-grandmother Ida Nicol of Tottenham and by her grandparents Alice and Barry Kant of Brighton and Mary and Zbyszek Dutkiewicz of Mississauga. Lovingly remembered by her aunts and uncles: Christina and Perry Sisson of Bethany and Mellanie Kant and Scott Roberts of Durham, North Carolina and by her cousins Noel, Mary and Olivia Sisson of Bethany. Maddie will be resting at the St. Paul's Anglican Church, Hwy. 7, Bethany on Wednesday, February 20 from 1:00 p.m. until time of complete funeral service in the church at 2:00 p.m. A private Interment will be held in the spring at St. Mary's Cemetery, Lifford. Teacher at Joseph Howe Senior Public School in Scarborough). Barry died after a brief and unexpected illness on February 12, 2002 surrounded by his family and the love of many, many friends. He was the husband and best friend of Laurie, and the very proud Dad of his two boys Mike and Chris. He was the treasured son-in-law of Doug and Elsie Evans, the son of the Late Frank and Edith Allum, and the brother of Shirley, Bev and Ken.
We who knew him are left with special memories of his wit, wisdom, talents and stories. Barry would want all young people everywhere to always keep learning, in order to discover the wonders within themselves and to be the very best they can be.
A celebration of Barry s life will be held at a later date.
