Dear grandfather of Raymond Mitchell (Bev), Jeff Mitchell (Renata), Tammy-Jo Mullen, Amanda Mullen (Kevin) and predeceased by Tracy Mullen. Great grandfather of Zane Mitchell. Peacefully on June 8, 2002 in his 89th year passed away at the Extendicare Nursing Home, Oshawa. Survived by his loving sister Winnie Walek of Regina. Predeceased by brothers Burnie, Joe, Alfred, Walter and sister Della. Beloved uncle of Elizabeth, Donna, Suzanne, and Jim. Dear brother in law of Jean. Fondly remembered by many great nieces and nephews. Mr. Perog was a veteran of of World War II and a long time member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Mr Perog rested at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas St. East, Whitby (905)668-3410 on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial was held on Tuesday 10 am at the Holy Family Parish 91 Ribblesdale Drive. Predeceased by his parents Morris and Ethel (Hart) Reed. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and many friends. Born on November 5th, 1933 in Ijlst, Friesland, The Netherlands. George is survived by his loving wife Mary for 46 years. Loving father of Sandra and Jan, Ed and Pam, Kim and Al. Loving and treasured Opa of Cody (his big guy) and Dana (his princess). George is also survived by his sister Lies and brother Ben, many in-laws, nephews and nieces. "Especially treasured by niece Ingrid van Delft". George was founder of New Way Plumbing & Heating, Est. 1959, Oshawa.
