Zuhajewicz, Patti Venner, Judy Jamischak, the late Stephen Zuhajewicz, and beloved step-father of Gina Hewlett-Weiss, Jim Bowman, and Fran Craig. Dear grandfather of Lennard, Elizabeth, Dan, David, Brent, Darryl, Cory, Leanne, Terry, Mark, and the late Troy, and great-grandchildren Sebastian, Nathan, Emily, Joshua, Cameron, Tyler, Noah, Joshua, Jordan, and Lauren. COLBY, Dulcie Beryl (nee Peters) -
In her 86th year after a lengthy illness passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on July 17th, 2002. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence Colby and her brother Clement Peters. Dulcie will be sadly missed by her sister and only family relative Vivienne N. Watts (nee Peters), brother-in-law Claude Watts, nephews Douglas B. Watts and Gregory C. Watts and their families. Dulcie lived in Uxbridge, Ontario for the past 73 years and was a highly regarded music consultant with the Durham Board of Education till her retirement in 1981. In 1951 she formed theDulcie Colby Boys Choir from students in the Durham area. The choir was very successful, performing at churches, Kiwanis festivals, Massey Hall (Toronto) and many official ceremonies until being disbanded in 1959. She was very proud to be made an honorary member of the Federation of Women Teachers of Ontario and being one of the three music specialists who wrote a music teaching series for schools called "Canada is Music". Funeral Services will be held in the chapel at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge 23 Main Street South on Saturday, July 20th, 2002 at 2 p.m. Visitation, Friday, July 19th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. I nterment, Uxbridge Cemetery.
