PINEY, Bradley Ryan
passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 23rd, at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre in Toronto, at the age of 20. Lovingly remembered by his mother Tammy, his Nana Beverley, his brother Jordan and his girlfriend Ashley Trumble. Bradley will be truly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. BARKER, Gerald (1940-2003)
Ged passed away peacefully on August 22, after a brave fight with heart disease. He leaves his wife of 40 years Joyce, their children Paul, Janine and Caroline, along with a beautiful granddaughter, Holly. Born and raised in Manchester, Ged married Joyce in 1963 and moved to Canada in 1978. A hard working man and loyal friend, Ged will be missed by colleagues and family alike. The funeral will take place at W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, on Tuesday, August 26 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ged's name to the Harrowstone Heart Foundation at Mount Sinai Hospital, 600 University Avenue, Suite 1610, Toronto, Ontario, M5G 1X5 and would be greatly appreciated.

Died peacefully in her 83rd year, on Friday, August 22, 2003, at Foster brooke Long Term Care Facility, Newcastle. Stella, beloved wife of Richard (Dick) Morton of Orono. Dear mother of Amy and her husband Ed Hoad of Port Hope and Ed Morton of Orono. Loving grandma to Laura and Brian Hoad. Stella taught private piano lessons for many years, was the organist at Orono United, Kingsview United, and other local churches, and was a teacher at Forest Hills West Prep for 10 years. Quietly, into the waiting arms of her son Stephen Howard Haw, with her daughter at her side, on Thursday, August 21st, 2003. Beloved Grammie of her treasures Haley and Jordan Reeve. Cherished Mom of Cheryl Reeve (nee Haw) and son-in-law Michael Reeve. Betty will be forever missed by her sisters Thelma Holmstrom of Saskatchewan, Audrey Jeannotte of B.C. and her many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. Her strong will and independent spirit, which was so much a part of who she was, never left through her months of failing health. Betty was often heard to say ''It is not what you are dealt in life but more importantly how you deal with it''. Betty loved her grandchildren and life at the cottage with the loons and hummingbirds with a passion. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26th at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service. HORTON, Graydon T.
B.Sc., Dip. Town Planning, O.L.S., P.Eng. On August 20, 2003, at the age of 86, with family members at his side, Graydon passed away peacefully, at Lakeridge Health Centre Whitby, due to complications from a stroke suffered in May of this year. He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia (nee Nicol), and is survived by his sons, Roger (Margaret) of Whitby, and Jim (Jennifer) of Cambridge, daughter, Barbara (Ian) of North Vancouver, and grandchildren, Stephen (Peggy) of Whitby, Leslie (David) of Toronto, and Heather and Stephen of Cambridge. Graydon was a graduate of the University of Toronto in Surveying, Civil Engineering, and Town Planning. He met Virginia, his wife of 47 years, while at U. of T. He taught surveying to returning World War II Veterans at the Ajax Campus of the University of Toronto. Graydon and Virginia remained in Ajax and established a successful engineering and surveying business (Graydon T. Horton & Associates Limited) in the Town of Whitby. ''Hort'' was one of the first engineers in Ontario to computerize his business in the late 1960's, and his interest in computers continued throughout the remainder of his life. In his younger days, Graydon was an accomplished tennis player, golfer and skier. Summers were spent with the family on High Rock Island in Georgian Bay. In his retirement years Graydon and Virginia shared an avid interest in gardening and bird watching. In respect of Graydon's wishes, no formal service will be held, but donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario (1-888-HSF-INFO) or to Thickson's Woods Land Trust, Box 541, Whitby ON L1N 5V3, 905-725-2116.

On Wednesday August 20, 2003 in her 82nd year has joined her beloved husband Derrick Holburn Stead and daughter Elizabeth Ann Hickinson. She will be sadly missed by her children Ronald & his wife Elizabeth of Bowmanville, Canada and Colin & his wife Olly of Shrewsbury, England and grandchildren Shelley, Lindsay, Milissa, Samantha, Iven, Taryn, Alex, Chloe, Merrick and Ione. Visitation will take place at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home 7-9 pm Thursday and 2-4 & 7-9 pm Friday August 22nd. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday August 23 at 3 pm. Unexpectedly and peacefully at home, Teddy passed away in his sleep early Wednesday morning, August 20, 2003. Beloved son of Chris and John. Dear brother of Peter.
