FINN, Rita (Hammond) - Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles Home in the presence of her loving family on Thursday, January 30, 2003. Rita Finn of Spaniard`s Bay, age 87 years. Predeceased by her husband Ronald, 1973. She leaves to mourn two sons: Tom, Spaniard`s Bay, Ron, St. John`s; five daughters: Elizabeth, Genevieve Nesvacil, Texas, Bernadette Arsenault (Maurice), Labrador City, Margaret Adey, St. John`s, Frances Pitcher, Torbay; twelve grandchildren: Rochelle (Wally Case), Dennis Finn, Richard Finn (Sherri), Danielle & Kelly Nesvacil, Ron Finn Jr., Shauna (Bryan McNabb), Annette and Andre Arsenault, Andrea (Tom Fitzgerald), Peter Adey, Jonathan Finn; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Betty Hanlon, Boston and numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Then resting at St. Anne`s Church, Spaniard`s Bay from 9:30 a.m. on Monday, February 3rd. Funeral Mass on Monday, February 3rd at 11 a.m. from St. Anne`s Church. Interment to follow at St. Anne`s Cemetery, Spaniard`s Bay. Flowers gratefully declined. MARCH, George - Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles - Escasoni Complex, St. John`s, on Wednesday, June 20, 2001, George March of Clarenville, aged 93 years. Predeceased by his grandchildren George Harold, Robert Edward, and Roberta Kimberley. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Effie of 62 years; daughter Jessie Lachouich (Arthur), Sarnia ON; son Harold (Grace), Clarenville; two brothers Ernest (Annie), and Allan (Beatrice), both of Green`s Harbour; two step-grandchildren, Tina Spurrell (Mike), and Corina (Robin); one great-granddaughter, Jailen; and a large number of relatives and friends. LANE - On Tuesday, May 28, 2002, Tim & Melanie Lane received their precious blessing from heaven - Nathaniel Timothy. He weighed 8 lbs., 11 oz. Celebrating along with them are proud grandparents Barry & Sheila Lane, & Aloysius & Barbara King, uncles Andrew, Matthew, & Blair, Auntie Pam, & cousin Dawson.
TOBIN - Rick and Wanda (nee Stamp) and big brother Daniel are delighted to announce the safe and quick arrival of Christopher Gerard, born on July 31, 2003, at 2108, weighing 8 lbs. 71/2 ozs. Proud grandparents Anita Stamp, Gerry and Gertrude Tobin; great-grandmothers Mrs. Isabelle Kielly and Mrs. Laura Tobin of St. Mary`s Bay. Special thanks to Dr. Cheryl Pugh, Dr. Tallon, Roxanne Vardy, Dr. Nicholson, and all the delivery team. Also the 5th floor nursing staff. RUMSEY, Ann Marie (nee Eagan) - Passed peacefully away on Thursday, June 19, 2003, at her home in St. John`s, in the presence of her loving family, Ann Rumsey, aged 85 years. Mom was predeceased by her devoted husband, Kevin (1981); her infant son Terrance (1948); her parents, William and Martha Eagan; and her sister Marjorie. Left to cherish her memory are her six children: Brendan (Margaret), Kevin (Genevieve), Robert (Joan), Gerard (Joan), Patricia Field, her devoted caregiver, (Wayne) and Janet Dillon (Charlie); also her eight loving grandchildren: Chad, Lorie-Ellen and Carolyn Rumsey, Jennifer Bryan, Julie (Jason) Gosse, Dax and Tara Rumsey, and Andrea Dillon. She will be surely missed by her ever faithful pal B.J. She also leaves to mourn her sister Loretta Cochran and her sister-in-law Sister Myra Rumsey, PBVM. A well known man for his many trips to Millertown, moose hunting. Predeceased by his loving wife Gertrude Whalen-Lawlor (nee Locke), May 1985.
