Loving father of Debbie Dawson and her husband Bruce. Cherished grampa of Darryl and Kelly Dawson. Dear brother of Alfred (Anne), Laurice (Jim) Wright and predeceased by Evelyn Chamandy, Ramsay, Albert and Edward. Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. JOHANSEN, Carl Davis
passed away at his home, with family by his side on Thursday, November 27th, 2003 in his 68th year. Loving husband and best friend of Nancy Lou of Brooklin. Much loved father of Randy and his wife Joan of Brooklin, Rob and his wife Wendy of Solina and Ritch and his wife Elaine of Georgetown. Very special Grampa of Michael, Heather, Tyler, Travis, Danielle, Leah and Jason. Survived by his brother Edward Johansen and sisters Marie Amberger, Fay Adams and Janet Stuart. A Memorial service will be held at Brooklin United Church, (Princess Street) Brooklin on Monday, December 1. Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon with service to follow at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

PHILLIPS Christine May (nee Calvin)
Peacefully, after a brief illness, with her family members present, on Thursday, November 27, 2003, at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa. Beloved wife of Bob for 53 years. Sadly missed by her children Michael and his wife Ruth of Oshawa, Shawn and his wife Nadene of Orono, Brent and his wife Lorinda of Toronto and Nanette Phillips of Whitby. Loving Grammy of Amanda, Kelvin, Cooper, Kiefer, Zara and Luca. Dear sister of Marj Blakney and her late husband Dick of Oshawa, Don Calvin and his late wife Kay of Gravenhurst and the late Gordon Calvin and his wife Edna and the late Murray Calvin and his wife Gertie. Also fondly remembered by Bob's family, her church family, neighbours and friends. Dear father of Ella and her husband John, Daniel and his wife Mary Catherine, and David and his wife, Jessie. Proud grandfather of Tom, Tim, Tina, Carolyn and Tricia, and great grandfather of 6. Resting at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel. Uncle of Jackie, Tracey, Chris, Michael, Erin, Brent, Steven, Julie, Tracy, Terry, Michelle, and Kimberley. Lewis will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, many friends and his beloved four-legged family. A heartfelt Thank You to Drs. passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital on November 26, 2003 at the age of 73. Predeceased by W.J. Douglas Dinniwell, her son John M. Palmer, her sister Pauline Andrusky and her brothers Martin Chizen and Walter Chizen. Cherished mother of Michelle Huegli and her husband Peter. Beloved grandmother of Dylan, Christoph, Franziska and Daniel. Fondly remembered by daughter in law Denise Palmer and sisters Mildred Bilida, and Mary Matheson and brothers Steven Chizen and his wife Jean and John Chizen. Sadly missed by sister in law Lana Chizen and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the W.C. Town Funeral Home on Friday, 2-4pm and 7-9pm, with prayers at 7:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the People Catholic Church, (570 Marion St., Oshawa) at 10:30 am Saturday. Cremation to follow. Interment at a later date. Loved father of Charles Hartin and his wife Sharon of Valentia, Maxine and her husband Carman Ferguson of Little Current, Joanne and her husband Ted Whitfield of Woodville, Harold Hartin and his wife Linda of Alberta and the late Lloyd Hartin and his wife Linda of Washburn Island. Loving grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Peacefully at Foster Brook Nursing Home on Wednesday, November 26th, 2003. W.W. II Veteran - 4th Indian Division. Former employee of Fasken Campbell Godfrey. Beloved husband and best friend for 50 years of Daisy Morrison. Survived by his sister Helen Morrison of Newcastle-Upon Tyne, England, and by his sister-in-law Ellen Baldock of Kilwining, Scotland.
