passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2003 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Albert (Bert) Granik. Loved and cherished by her daughter Donna Granik of Burlington, her grandson Brock James and his wife Jeanne Ng of Toronto and her late son David Granik. Dear sister of Anna Larmer of Barrie and the late Elsie McKay, Vera Thompson, Marian McKay, Nelson McKay, Gordon McKay and Laura McKay. She will be fondly remembered by many other family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered by his dear companion Theresa Kucharuk. The loving grandfather of Rachel, Sarah and Emily Babut, Brittney and Brooke Pierson, Hollie and Courtney Babut, Tyler and Julia Bennett. Remembered at this time by former wife Wladyslawa "Gladys" Babut. At Walter's request he has generously bequeathed his body to the University of Toronto's Faculty of Medicine. (Life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 112 and the Ladies Auxillary) at the Richmond Terrace Nursing Home, Amherstburg Ontario in her 85th year. Born Dorothy Noreen Pierson, June 25, 1919, Viscount Saskatchewan. Married to Norman Duncan McIntosh 1941, who passed away November 23, 1971. Beloved mother to John Frederick (Jack) McIntosh who passed away July 15, 2002. Dear sister of Elizabeth Roberta Roberts (1998) and husband Mel Roberts (1988), Mr John Grant (1995). Dear Friend and beloved aunt of Dorothy Ann and her husband Gerry Bergeron of LaSalle, Ontario, George and Linda Roberts of McGregor, Ontario and David Roberts of Windsor Ontario. Dorothy is also survived by several great nieces and nephews from the Windsor area. Dorothy was the past President of the Royal Canadian Legion 112, Whitby, where everyone knew and loved her. Friends will be received at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday. A Service in the Chapel on Wednesday 11 am. with Interment GROVESIDE Cemetery. SMYCNUIK, Stanley Stan
passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 13th, 2003 at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga. Stan was born and educated in Ituna, Saskatchewan. After farming for several years he moved to Oshawa where he worked for Duplate for 20 years and then was a Canada Post letter carrier until he retired. After retirement he continued to do endless volunteer work at St. George s Catholic Church. He was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #43 and the St. George s Ukrainian Men s Association. He unselfishly gave of his time, energy and love to all those around him, he sought only the happiness of others. Stan is survived by his loving wife Rose of 55 years and two children Delores (Ron) Gallagher and Dennis and one grandson Ryan. He is mourned by brother Nester (Natalie) of Scarborough, sisters Anne of Saskatoon, Kay of Mississauga, Natalie of Toronto, Martha of Ituna, Sister Florentine S.S.M.I. of Winnipeg, Helen of Toronto, Lil (Joe) of Calgary.
