DANIEL, Myrl
Retired Librarian of the Barbados Library and Centennial College, Toronto, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, January 4, 2004 at Providence Centre. Beloved sister of Grace Daniel, Joyce Carter-Gay, Hazel Tatem, Melvern Daniel (Barbados), Rawle Daniel (England) and the late Lloyd Daniel and Mildred Gibbons. Sister-in-law of Fred Carter-Gay, and George Tatem. Lovingly remembered by her several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at Pickering Pentecostal Church, ''The Gathering Place'' (1920 Bayly Street, Ajax) at 11:00 a.m. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

FLUERY, Percival Alexander ''Bud''
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville on Sunday, January 4th, 2004, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Isabelle (McKinnon) for 61 years. Dear father of son Wayne and his wife Kathy, and of daughter Nadine. Cherished ''Grampa'' of grandson Cple and step-granddaughter Robyn. Son of the late Lillian and Jim Fluery of Highland Creek. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 7th, 2004, 11 a.m. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bowmanville Hospital.

Peacefully, on Sunday January 4th, 2004. Marjorie Cecilia Pearce Gifford, wife of the late Owen Gifford and beloved mother of Anne Gifford and her husband Lee Rogaliner of Newport Beach, California, Sheila Gifford of Ottawa and the late Paula Gifford Merriman. Loving grandmother of Patrick Shields, Peter Merriman and Molly Merriman. Much loved daughter of the late Mary and Charles Pearce. Predeceased by brothers Frederick and Frank Pearce and by sisters Sarah Theobald and Mary Mather. Funeral Mass will take place at the Roman Catholic Church of ST. GREGORY THE GREAT, 194 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa, on Saturday January 31 at 10:30 A.M. Funeral Mass will take place at the Roman Catholic Church of ST. GREGORY THE GREAT, 194 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa, on Saturday January 31 at 10:30 A.M. Interment of Cremated Remains at St. Gregory's Cemetery. A Reception at the Oshawa Golf Club will follow. HOPKINS, William Robert
(September 29, 1917 - January 4, 2004) Hoppy, having lived a long and fulfilling life, enjoyed many friendships, good humour and scratch golf, has passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2004 at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, at age 86. Hoppy, beloved husband of Midge. Dear father of Margaret Walker and her husband William of King City (formerly of Ajax). Survived by his brother Dr. John Hopkins and his wife Helen of Victoria, B.C. and predeceased by his sister Helen. Also loved by his two grandsons Brent and Rory and missed by his nieces and nephews. At his request, there will be no service. Cremation. In Hoppy's memory, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital appreciated. Our family would like to express our gratitude for the excellent nursing care given and compassion shown by the nursing staff and Dr. Jennifer Wilson.

LESCISIN, Anne
In prayerful peace while holding the hand of her youngest son Edward, the soul of Anne was lifted from this earth on Sunday, January 4th, 2004 at Lakeridge Health Whitby to be with our Lord. Anne, in her 78th year was the devoted and loving wife of George Lescisin. Beloved mother of her two sons, Larry and Edward who will forever remember her great love and kindness. Dear and generous mother-in-law of Robin and Christine. Sadly missed by her seven grandchildren, Paul, Adrian, Kyle, Lyndsay, Kevin, Matthew and Michael. Fondly remembered by many other relatives and friends. Visitation at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel", 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday January 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A liturgy will be held at 7:30 p.m. that evening. (Retired employee of Durham Board of Education; Veteran of W.W. II) At Sunnycrest Nursing Home on Sunday, January 4, 2004. Bob, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Hilda. Loving father of Mary and her husband Lloyd Kollaard of Kirkfield, ON and Ann and her husband Roland Thurn of Oshawa. Dear grandfather of Debbie, Susanne, Jennifer, Jillian, Jonathan and great-grandfather of Chelsea, Mackenzie, Sydney, Angus, Gabrielle and Zackery. Brother of Bernice Ellis of Brockville and predeceased by brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, January 8, 2004 at 10:00a.m. Cremation. passed away peacefully at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa on January 4, 2004, in his 83rd year. Past Sergeant of the Royal Canadian Air Force of the Armoured Division. Past Carman of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Life member of the Port Perry Royal Canadian Legion Branch 419. Beloved husband of Lorraine for over 57 years. Loving father of Patrick, Thomas (Ann), Maureen (Peter) Robinson and Michael (Jean). Proud grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 5. Family and friends are invited to visit the Low & Low Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 6, 2004 from 6-9 p.m. Legion service commencing at 7 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday in the chapel at 11 a.m. In Cliff's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.

The family of Rosina will receive friends Thursday January 8th, from 7-9 PM and Friday January 9th, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Prayers will be held on Friday January 9th, at 7 PM. BATEMAN, Yvonne (nee Yourth)
passed away peacefully after complications from major surgery at Toronto East General on January 3, 2004 at age 85. Lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Jack Bateman. Pre-deceased by her parents Edwin & Mildred Yourth as well as her sister Lois and her brother Maxwell. She will be truly missed by her nieces Ellen and Dianne and her nephews Bradley and Donald. A woman of many talents, a fine artist, gifted gardener and a long time member of the Horticultural Society. An accredited judge from the Hamilton Botanical Gardens. Everyone who knew Yvonne loved her very much. Resting at THE ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME with Memorial Service on Saturday, January 10th at 11 a.m. Memorial donations t the Horticultural Society in lieu of flowers would be appreciated. Visitation one hour prior.

CAVERLY, William C.
Entered into rest at Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Saturday January 3, 2004 in his 60th year. Bill, beloved husband of Eleanor. Fondly remembered by his step-children and grandchildren. Dear father of Noah (Mark) of Port Hope and grandfather of Sydney, Wade and Logan and their mother Shelley. Dear brother of Earl and his wife Mary of Newcastle and Evelayne and her husband Earl Young of Campbellford. Predeceased by his parents Noah and Mary, his sisters Myrtle Naylor, and Dorothy Cuffe, and his grandson Tyler. Roy was an employee of Smith Transport for over 30 years. Also a veteran of WWII, serving in Europe with the Lake Superior Regiment and a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43. Elmire will be sadly missed by her 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by BJ Kearns. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.
