On Sunday, February 29, 2004 at Lakeridge Health Port Perry in her 94th year. Bessie Love, beloved wife of the late John Robert Barlow. Dear mother of Bob, Bill and Betty Jordan. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Bryce, John, and Anne Sinai and great-grandchildren Bryan, Mark, Leah, Ben and Kelsey. Predeceased by her brothers Ross and Everett and sisters Winnie Cox and Marion Iles. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Low and Low Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 for service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Visitation two hours before. In Bessie's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Port Perry Community Memorial Hospital Foundation.

BAYS, William (Bill) Ronald
Peacefully on Sunday February 29, 2004, at 81 years of age at Rouge Valley Hospital, Ajax. Loving husband for 58 years to Joyce, father of John (wife Nancy), Dave, Gord (wife Melanie), and Lori (husband Bob). Brother to Russ. Loved Grandpa to Kelly, Carey, Chris, Leanne, Kevin, Lindsay, Tara and Jennifer. A private family service was held on Tuesday March 2, 2004. Donations in Bill's memory would be appreciated to the Rouge Valley Hospital, Ajax.

(Retired 33 year employee of Dupont Canada, Whitby). Suddenly, as the result of a tragic accident on Saturday February 28th, 2004, Kenneth in his 63rd year. Dearly beloved husband of Heather (nee Jardine). Loving step-father of Robert Clissold and Gordon Clissold and his wife Kathleen. Cherished grandfather of Julia and Charlotte of Vancouver. Dear son of Oenwen Bailey and the late Herbert. Dear step-son of Arthur Bailey of Yorkshire, England. Sadly missed brother-in-law of Morag and her husband Frank Chew, niece Amanda "Mandy" Chew and aunt Mary Halliday and family. Ken was a civilian instructor and official photographer with the Ontario Regiment Cadet Corps (1913) of Oshawa, where he tirelessly volunteered his time. Loving mother of Jim and Laurie, Joe and Joyce, Jeff Parkinson and the late Debbie Head. Predeceased by her grandson Allen Head. Fondly remembered by her step-children Bill, Steve, Ted, Dan, Andy, Mary, and Patty and their families, and her son-in-law Al Head. Dear sister of Lorne, Edward, Michael, John, Loretta, Mary, and Theresa. The family will receive friends at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. BENDER, John F. ''Jack''
After a courageous battle, Jack passed away at Toronto General Hospital on Saturday, February 28, 2004, at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Janice. Dear father of Scott (Val), Paul (Debra) and Wayne (Dawn) Battler. Much loved grandfather of Matthew, Tess, Emily, Alexa, Julia, Robert and Kayla. Predeceased by parents Harry and Margaret Bender of Deseronto and sister Phyllis Allcorn. Survived by sister Lynn Leonard of White Lake, Ontario. Former member of the Storrington Lions Club. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. Dear mother of Peter and his wife Neal, Jack and his wife Tilly, Bill and his wife Twan, and Annie and her husband Anthony Zeigers. Fondly remembered by her many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and by her many nieces and nephews in Holland, Germany and Canada. PEART, Lucie
passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2004, after a lengthy illness, at the Community Nursing Home, Pickering, Ontario, in her 92nd year. She was predeceased by her husband Reginald. She is lovingly remembered by her son Eduardo Jaen and his wife Beverley, grandsons Alfredo and Roberto (Wendy), 3 great- grandchildren, 2 great-great-granddaughters, and many friends. Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

WEST, William
passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2004, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of the late Ethel West, nee Ferguson. He will be missed by his daughter Carrol, sisters Caroline Beatty, Shirley (Jack) Walker and brother Ron (Dolores). He will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as his faithful companion Buddy. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors on 6F Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital for their care and kindness. He will be sadly missed by all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother Frank and Diane Besco. passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Floyd Foreman. Cherished mother and friend of son Guy Foreman and his wife Lesley, and daughter Lynn Foreman. On Thursday, February 26, 2004. Peacefully at Lakeridge HealthBowmanville in her 91st year. Survived by husband of 66 years, Sandy, sons Ormond and Roy. Will be missed by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. According to Janet's wishes, cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 1660 Hwy 2, Courtice, on Sunday March 7, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.

BALAZO, Allan Alexander
Peacefully surrounded by his family at the Princess Margaret Hospital on Wednesday, February 25th, 2004 at the age of 54. Beloved husband of Mary Lorraine (McGowan) and proud father of Terrance, Michael and Patrick. Cherished son of Cecilia Halas and loving brother of the late Evelyn of Montreal. Allan was a devoted teacher for thirty-two years in Montreal, Calgary and most recently St. Stephen's High School in Bowmanville. He will be greatly missed by his aunts and uncles, many cousins, friends, former students and colleagues. Many thanks to the staff of the Princess Margaret Hospital, the Lakeridge Oshawa Oncology Department and the volunteer drivers from the Whitby Division of the Canadian Cancer Society.
