Long time resident of Marnwood Lifecare Centre. Peacefully on Sunday March 7, 2004 at Marnwood Lifecare Centre, Bowmanville at the age of 91. Lena Kozak (nee Holodryzuk) beloved wife of the late Leo Kozak. Loving mother of Sonia Parfitt (and the late Dennis Parfitt) of Hampton, Jerry (Mary) of Kenora, Bob (Rody) of Hawkesbury, Joe (Mary) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Barb Pokorski (Henry) of Hampton, and Ed of Pinawa, Manitoba. Loving grandmother of Ryan Parfitt, Honey Montgomery (Paul), Erin Bell (Dave), Linda Kozak, Laura Corbett (Troy), Nina Taylor (Paul), Elizabeth and Anne Kozak, Peter, Julie and Maia Kozak, Mark, Ellen and Carl Polorski, Eddie and Spring Kozak. Great Grandmother of Jillian and Brent Montgomery, Jordan and Carlynn Corbett, and Quinn Bell. Lena is survived by sisters Connie Flontek, Evelyn Nagribianko, Margaret Perpete, and brothers Michael and Bill Holodryzuk, and is predeceased by sister Stella Stadnyk, and brothers Alex, Nick, and Nestor Holodryzuk. Lena will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all her loving family and friends. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, on Wednesday March 10 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday March 11th at 11am. Cremation. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Hampton United Church would be appreciated by Lena's family.
MOULE, Leta Fanny
Aged 84 years. At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Sunday March 7th, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Ray Moule. Dear mother of Wray & his wife Valerie, Robert Moule, Linda & her husband Milton Bartley, Shirley & her husband Glenn Amos and Ronald & his wife Victoria. Loving grandmother of Steven, Grant, Marlene, Alexandre, Jennifer, Justin & Rachael & great-grandson Devon. A Memorial Service will take place at the Kingdom Hall in Bowmanville on Wednesday March 10th 2004 at 6 pm.
PERCY, John David
(Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 & 637), Retired Security Officer for Ontario Power Generation-Pickering). passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre on Sunday March 7, 2004 at the age of 66 years. Beloved father of Kathy (Brian) Percy, John (Mala) Percy, and Jennifer (Jerry) Percy. Loved by Frances Kelly-Percy. He will be truly missed by his brothers Cleary (Janet) Percy, and Hughie (Cecile) Percy. John will be deeply missed by his companion Bev, and by his many friends. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East with memorial visitation on Thursday March 11 from 2-4 pm. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place in Bowmanville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Huntington Society of Canada, or Sunnybrook Health Science Centre would be appreciated.
GRACE, James (Jim)
A well known and loved character passed away suddenly at Lakeridge Health on Saturday March 6th, in his 95th year. Jim travelled many walking km's weekly. His vibrant personality endeared him to all those friends and neighbours he met during his travels. He will be sincerely missed by son (Rob/Bob) Grace, daughter in law Suzanne, granddaughters A.J Grace (Cavey) & her husband Shawn, Nicky Grace, and two grandsons Porter & Cooper Cavey, sisters in law Julie Ritchie & Ethel Haynes. Predeceased by his wife May. Jim was independent and lived on his own, and maintained his own apartment until recently moving to Extendicare. He is now reunited with his beloved May. A family service was held at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East on Monday March 8, 2004 with cremation and burial at Thornton Cemetery. Our thanks to the many people who interacted with Dad which includes the staff at Lakeridge, Lakeridge Dialysis & Extendicare. To those having the privilege to know him will attest that he will be remembered as a most incredible and amazing human being. Our thanks to all, the Grace Family.

GUARDIA SANCHEZ, Carlos Alfredo
passed away peacefully, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday March 6th, 2004. Carlos passed after a short battle with cancer in his 57th year. Carlos was born in Argentina and has been a Canadian for 31 years. He lived in Toronto, New Brunswick and lately of Whitby. He was the owner of Classic Renovations and a master Carpenter. Loving father of Christina Andrea Guardia and Charles Steven Guardia. Lifelong friend of his children s mother and ex-spouse Maria Fodor Guardia. He is survived by his siblings Eduardo Rolando Guardia with his wife Rosa and Elba Alicia Gonzalez. He is lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews both here in Canada and in Argentina. Carina, Carlos, Martha , Lilianna, Patricia and Rolando Guardia and Alicia, Glen, Michael and Veronica Gonzalez. Pre-deceased by his parents Eduardo Guardia and Elba Sanchez. A service was held on Tuesday March 9th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 10062 Bramalea Road in Brampton, Ontario. Donations made in memory of Carlos to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Died peacefully, on Saturday, March 6, 2004, at Ajax-Pickering Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Husband of Martha. Cherished father of Linda and her husband Ray Whittaker, Robyn and her husband Scott Hardy, Kim and her husband Bill McWatters and Thomas and his wife Julie. Devoted Papa of Adam, Ryan, Mike, Nicole, Thomas, Brandon, Stacey, Kyle, Taylor, and Logan. Fondly remembered by Mike and Willie and missed by his two four-legged friends, Kelly and Candy. passed away suddenly with her family by her side at age 59, March 6, 2004 in Oshawa. Loving wife to Joe and sadly missed by son Michael. Survived and loved by siblings Bradley & Francesca, Valerie & Murray, Barbara & Henry and Douglas & Linda and many nieces and nephews. Recently retired from General Motors after 35 years of dedicated service. Gloria was born and raised in Bancroft, Ontario, eldest daughter of William and Dorine McKenzie (predeceased). She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for her great spirit, unending faith and unbeatable courage.
