passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, May 27th, 2004, in his 79th year. Dearly loved husband of Sandy Jackson (nee Plitz). Much loved father of Debbie and her husband John McCoy, and Brenda Jackson and Kevin Hamilton. Grandfather of Katie and Mike McCoy. Survived by his brothers Stan and his wife Doreen and Ralph (Curly) and his wife Joan, all of Oshawa. Fondly remembered by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and many friends. Resting at MEMORIAL CHAPEL BROOKLIN LTD., 79 Baldwin Street, Brooklin Village from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Then to Brooklin United Church, where visitation will commence from 1:00 p.m. until time of service to follow in the church Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. (May 29). Cremation to follow. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren Kaitlynne, Nicole, Krystal, Amber, Amanda, and Michael. Dorothy is pre-deceased by her sisters Corinne Lawless, Teresa Roach, Louise Doyle, Eileen Levesque, and her brothers Thomas Lawless, Joseph Lawless, Don Lawless, Clarence Lawless, and Frank Lawless. Retired General Motors Employee World War II Veteran. After a courageous battle with cancer, while being cared for by his loving wife, peacefully at home on Monday May 24th, 2004. Beloved husband & best friend of Hermine Mary. Loving & excellent father of Eddy, Judy, Yvonne, David, Erwin & Norman. Will be truly missed by all his grandchildren & great-grandchildren. passed away on May 23, 2004, at age 46, at Ajax Pickering Hospital after a courageous fight with cancer. Loving mother of Geoffrey. Predeceased by her mother Frances. She leaves behind her father James Robert, brother Bruce, sister Pat, brother-in-law Les, nieces and nephews Robert, Jonathon, Lindsay, Allison and Brian. Longtime employee of Yamaha Canada - she truly loved her work. Many thanks to the staff at Ajax Pickering Hospital for their care and compassion in her final hours. GOULET, Lorraine Ruth
passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 22nd, 2004 at Ballycliffe Nursing Home in Ajax at the age of 74. Predeceased by her husband Maurice. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Maureen Daigle (Kim) of Courtice and son Ian Goulet (Valerie) of Ajax; grandchildren Rachelle (Jason), Tara (Steve), Jason, Jennifer, Bryson and great-granddaughter Zoe. She will be missed by her sisters, brother, nieces and nephews. Lorraine was born in Toronto and lived for several years in Durham Region. She will be remembered for her hospitality and generosity. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned and operated several businesses including Whitby Fabrics. Lorraine was also a damn good cook. A heartfelt thanks go to the caring and supportive staff at Ballycliffe Nursing Home. A celebration of life will be held at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, on Thursday, May 27th at 6 p.m. with a reception to follow.
