USTUPSKI, Helena
1929 - 2004. With great sadness we speak for our beloved Mother, Babcia, Great Babcia, and friend, Helena Ustupski, announcing her sudden passing on Mother's Day, May 9, 2004. Helena was born in Suche, Poland on June 15, 1929, and as a child growing up during WW11, Helena was highly dedicated to helping others survive hardship. Upon arrival to Canada, Helena continued to set the example of care and compassion for her family and many friends. Helena was preceded in death by her husband Franciszek, and surviving her are: her four children; Walter (Halina) Ustupski, Marysia (Waldemar) Hausz, Ludwika (Czeslaw) Regiec, and Frank (Marysia) Ustupski; eleven grandchildren; Robert Hausz, Artur (Lisa) Hausz, Zbyszek (Elizabeth) Regiec, Jolanta (Andrzej) Kubiczek, Mirek (Barbara) Regiec, Diane (James) Dranski, Cathy Ustupski, Halina Ustupski, Margaret Ustupski, Sylwia Ustupski, and Andrew Ustupski; and five great-grandchildren; Artur Kubiczek, Michal Hausz, Nikita Hausz, Michal Regiec, and Christopher Dranski. The family wishes to thank everyone involved for their support, and will greet friends and relatives at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, May 16, 2004 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and for Rosary Prayer at 7 p.m. Memorial Services begin at 10 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2004 at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Oshawa. Peacefully, in his sleep, at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, on Saturday, May 8, 2004, in his 65th year. Predeceased by his father Orville, his mother Edna, grandfather Sid and grandmother Elsie. Remembered by his special friend and cousin, Bob and his wife Joan Henry, Mr. and Mrs. Sebert Henry and his friends in Port Perry. EGAN, Ronald Allan
At his home on Saturday May 8th, 2004 in his 51st year. Dearly loved son of the late Stephen and Betty Egan. Loved brother of Rob and his wife Wanda. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. HAWCO, Janet (nee Mallany)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Janet Hawco on May 8th, 2004, in her 62nd year at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Heather Hawco-Gray and Jennifer Doherty, and sons-in-law, Dave and Chris. Forever remembered by the ''lights of her life'', her grandchildren McAulay and Keeley. Cherished by her best friend Lil and dear friend Barb. Loved by brother Peter, wife Joyce and nieces Dana, Darcy and Darlene. A generous, dedicated, loving mother and grandmother she will be sadly missed by her family. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the friends and family who have surrounded them throughout this very difficult time. A special thank you to Dr. Dixon, Dr. Tanious, Durham Access to Care and the wonderful nurses at CarePartners. The world is a better place because of all of you. Dearly beloved husband of Laurie Jane Bolton. Loving father of Jordan, Kalleigh and Ian. Beloved son of Arnold and the late Joan and stepmother Phyllis. Dearly beloved husband of Carol (Morin). Loving father of Juanita and her husband Ronald McInroy, Charlotte and her husband Peter Sabo, Fred and his wife Janice, Donald, Roberta and her husband John Morrison. Dear father of Roxanne Savoie and her husband Dominic Zavaglia, Debbie and her husband Derek Simpson, Terry and her husband Danny Lavoie and grandfather of Justin, Christopher, Tyea, Phillip, Ashley, Nathan, Johnathan and Jordan. Predeceased by parents Richard and Ruth Knocker. Dear brother of Fred and his wife June Boyden, Betty and her husband Mal Fraser, Mal and his wife Judi Knocker, Rick and his wife Shellie Knocker and predeceased by Douglas. Loving sister and friend to Debra Low, Kevin and his wife Vicki, Michael and his wife Vicky, Jamie, and Lisa and her husband Derrick. Most special aunt to 11 nieces and nephews. Formerly of Oshawa and Whitby, passed away quietly to meet the Risen Lord at her residence, Cospicua Home in Malta on Thursday May 6. Predeceased by her husband Paul and son Saviour. She leaves to mourn her children, Mary, Josie, Art, Joe and John all residing in Canada, and Rosie who resides in Malta, and their respective spouses. Also left to mourn her loss are her nineteen grandchilren as well as many great grandchildren. Dear Gramma of Sandra (Roger) Pitre, Larry (Anne) Hill, Shelley (Kevin) Hill, Ken (Cathy) Chapman, Dianne (Roger) Simpson, Gloria (Mark) Wilkins, Reg (Anna) Chapman, Jeff (Sharon) Ellis, Jennifer (Sean) Jones, Gord (Randie) Henderson, Gary (Tanya) Henderson, Sue (Billie) Henderson, Matthew (Sonya) Ellis, Catherine (Matt) Luke. 25 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandsons. Rosina was born and raised in Oshawa on March 16, 1913. Daughter of the late Theodore and Mary Carey. Predeceased by sisters Muriel Guy and Lillian Stapley and brothers Theodore, Raymond, Albert and Fred Carey. Survived by sisters-in-law Jen and Edith Carey and many nieces and nephews. Rosina was very active in volunteer work and a member of the C.A.W. Family Auxiliary 27 for over 50 years, also, the Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Centennial Albert United Church. One of the founders of Storie Park, Past President OCCNA, member of Glen Stewart Park, Monday afternoon group at Knox Presbyterian Church, an avid bowler until she was 80 years old. Reg and Rose were the first couple married in Cedardale United Church April 25, 1931. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimers Society, Centennial Albert United Church Memorial Fund or Charity of your choice would be appreciated.
