passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Lakeridge Health, Port Perry on June 20th, 2004. In her 63rd year. Beloved wife of William (Bill) for over 37 years. Will be sadly missed by Judy (Dennis) Goehring, Debbie (Todd) Clarke, Tina (Joe) Basque, Robert. Proud Nannie of Pamela, Chris, Danielle, Michaela, Amanda, Kennedy, Ashley and Kaylee. Survived by brother Chris Steve and predeceased by her sister Anne and her parents George and Pandora Steve. After a lengthy illness Roger passed away peacefully with his loved ones at his side on Sunday June 20, 2004. Roger beloved husband of the late Susan. Loving father of Danielle and Michelle. Loved by Lou Ann Culbert of Brooklin, Ontario who cared for Jean right to the end. NEAL, William James (Jimmy)
Of Oshawa - in his 83rd year, peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 19, 2004 joined for eternity, his beloved wife Jeanie Marie (McGrath). He instilled in his seven sons: Gary, John, Peter, Joe, Jamie, Thomas, and Patrick, the meaning of fatherhood. Family includes his brothers Herbert (predeceased), and Patrick, niece Peggy Anne, sisters Edith (predeceased) and Frieda (predeceased), niece Heather and nephew Peter of England, and sister-in-law Sister Helen McGrath and brother-in-law Jack McGrath. His favourite daughters-in-law are Leslie (Gary); Suzanne (John); Deborah (Peter); Kimberley (Joe); Sheila (Thomas); and Sandra (Patrick); and his 24 grandchildren are Gregory, Christopher, Joel, Lauren, Laura (predeceased), Jeffrey, Sarah, Jordan, Jonathan, James, Michael, Peter, Nicholas, Rebecca, Mark, Monica, David, Braden, Carly, Ryan, Sydney, Cameron, Owen, and Charlotte. Jimmy served in WWII with his fellow Port Whitby ''bay rats'', and was a car salesman at Ontario Motor Sales for 52 years. He enjoyed many summers at Crowe Lake; coaching the St. Gertrude's pee-wee hockey team for 20 years; Knights of Columbus; and curling with friends at the Oshawa Curling Club. Many thanks to the nurses and doctors of 6F and 7 Main at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their care and compassion. NEWELL, Irene (nee Kane)
In her 78th year, passed away peacefully with family by her side at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville on June 17, 2004. Irene is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Frank Newell, who was constantly at her side during her final months of illness. Irene's two daughters, Wendy Moss and Brenda Hobbs, and their families Robert, James and Marshall Moss and Daniel, David and Rachel Hobbs are thankful for all of Irene's family and many friends that provided care and support while Irene bravely fought cancer. Irene fondly remembered her years of working for North American Life Assurance where she met long-time friend, Helen Sievert. Irene was a Member of First Baptist Church, Mary Elliot Smith Mission Circle and the Cardiac Rehabilitation Organization. While her daughters were young, Irene served as a Brown Owl for the Oshawa 25th Brownie Pack. An avid bird-watcher, gardener, reader, cross-country skier, and frequent theatre-goer, Irene will be missed by many. Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 812 Hortop Street, Oshawa on Sunday, June 27, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive visitors for an hour prior to the service.
