ARMSTRONG, Dorothy Anne (nee Driscoll)
passed away peacefully, on the 10th of November, 2004, in Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital, in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late George Davey Armstrong.Much loved mother of George and wife Audrey, Ross and wife Annette. Grandmother of Glen (Sue), David, Andrew (Colleen), Tracey (Michael). Great-grandmother of Jessica and Sara, Matthew and Nicole, Holly and Ryana. Many, many nephews and nieces, a large extended family and too many special friends to count. The family wish to extend hearthelt thanks to Durham Access to Care, Partners in the Community Nursing and Com Care without whom Dorothy could not have spent her last few months at home in Oshawa, especially Terry, Shannon, Margaret, Brenda, Carol, Gwen, and Kim. Also to Dr. Chor and the staff on the Eighth Floor of Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital. If we have missed anybody, you are in our thoughts. We thank you all.Her wishes were for immediate cremation. A committal will be held at the graveside on the 20th November at 11:00 a.m.

passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 10th, 2004 surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Percy Foote. Loving mother of Fred and his wife Pam, Terry and his wife Kathy and Lynda Carey. Cherished Grandmother of seven and Great Grandmother of eleven. Margaret will be fondly remembered by her family and friends. POWELL, Edith (nee Petty)
Reunited with her beloved husband Stanley who predeceased her only days before. Edith passed away on November 10, 2004 at the Rouge Valley Health System, Ajax, surrounded by her family. Loving mother of Allan (of Ballantrae), Grace and her husband Robert Peacock (of Orono), Gary and his wife Lynne (of Ajax), and Kevin and his wife Jo-Ann (of Oshawa). Treasured grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 4great-grandchildren. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre.

COWAN, James Norton
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health-Bowmanville on Tuesday, November 9th, 2004. James Cowan, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Isabella (nee Wallace) of Courtice. Predeceased by his 3 brothers, Samuel, Frederick and Richard and his one sister Marjorie Pascoe. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Mr. Cowan retired from G.M.C. with 28 years service and was a former member of the Oshawa Yacht Club. Resting at THE ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME 124 King Street East with Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday November 12th, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation. HAMBLETON, Greta Mary (nee Sanford)
Originally of London, England, recently of Sunderland, ON. Beloved wife of Ronald. Mum to Brian & wife Laura, Wendy & husband David and Nancy & husband George. Grandma to Sara, Eric, Lindsay, Lisa, Kristina and Erin. Passed peacefully, on Nov 9th, in her 79th year, surrounded by loving family and friends and in the superb care of the staff of Port Perry hospital. If desired, donations to Port Perry Hospital or the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

MARTIN, H. Elizabeth
passed away peacefully in the presence of her family at Hillsdale Estates, Oshawa on Tuesday, November 9th, 2004, in her 84th year. Betty was predeceased by her husband Gerald and daughter Vivian. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children Michael and his wife Claudia of Kitchener, Cathie and her husband Patrick Sayer of Oshawa. Granny will be missed by Kris and Jenna, Amanda, Barbara and Holly. We will tell little Isaac all about his Great Granny. Betty graduated from nursing in 1943 at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie. She was a life member of the C.W.L. Thanks to the wonderful caregivers on Golden Pond at Hillsdale for being part of Mom s life in such a caring and loving way.
