passed away at home, after a long courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of Roger Barrow for 45 years. Loving mother of Jamie Hanley and her husband Daniel, Joanne Lamont and her husband Dave, John and his wife Lisa Barrow, Jason and his wife Christina Barrow, Nancy and her husband Jack Pearce. Cherished Nanny of her grandchildren, Shannon and Dean, Ryan and Brandi, Melanie, Mike, Amiee, Nicole, Nicholas, Emma, Eric, Melissa and great-grandchildren, Noah, Owen, Logan and Dryden. Dear sister of Donny and his wife Mary Neate, Bernard Neate and the late John Neate. Also fondly remembered by her stepbrother Allen Setter, Mary Neate, her many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Survived by her sister Gweneth (Rodney) Haynes and brother John (Mary) Cook and pre-deceased by her sister Audrey (Ken) Carter. TRUNTAEW, Anna
August 1, 1926 to November 2, 2004. With deep sadness, the family announces the death of Anna. Surrounded by her loving family, Anna passed away on Tuesday November 2nd, 2004 at Rouge Valley Health Centre in Ajax, Ontario. Anna was born in Furmanka, Ukraine. During World War II, Anna worked in a brick factory in Germany. Following the war, she moved to Belgium, where she met her husband to be Nikolai ( Nick ) Truntaew. They were married November 12, 1947. In 1951 they emmigrated to Canada to live in Kirkland Lake. In 1964, they moved to Ajax. Anna was predeceased by her parents Maksym ( 1996 ) and Daria ( 1998 ) Juryiczuk, her brother Vanya ( Ivan ), and her sisters Katya ( Catherine ), Polya ( Polly ) in Ukraine, and by her brother-in-laws Dmytro Stanczenko ( 1996 ) and Onne Ranta ( 1996 ). Anna is survived by her loving husband, of 56 years Nikolai Truntaew. She is also survived by her sisters Olya ( Olga ) Stanczenko of Mississauga, and Marucia ( Mary ) Ranta of Kirkland Lake. Anna will be greatly missed and loved by her nephew and godson Kolya ( Nick ) Stanczenko of British Columbia, and her niece Raisa ( Bernhart ) Wesenberg of Thousand Oaks, California, her niece and goddaughter Vera ( Kirk ) McCallum of Mississauga, nephew Steve ( Susan ) Ranta of Kirkland Lake, and niece Selina ( Ranta ) and her husband Andre. Dufresne, of Ajax. They were just like Anna s children. The family thanks them all with deepest gratitude for their loving care. Anna was the greatest great aunt to David and Matt Wesenberg of Thousand Oaks, California, Jenny McCallum of London, Ontario, and Emily and Holly Ranta of Kirkland Lake. Anna was a proud and loving godmother to Borick ( Boris Jr. ) Skoblikowskyj of Oshawa. Anna was a great gardener and took such pride in her garden on Archer Drive. The family will receive friends at the visitation which will be held on Friday November 5th from 7-9 pm, at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. Panachyda will be held at 7 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday November 6th at 9:30 am, at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church ( corner of Bloor St. and Simcoe St., Oshawa ), with Father Gregory Melnik officiating. Following the service Anna will be laid to rest beside her parents in the family plot at St. Wolodymyr and St. Olha Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, in Courtice. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna s memory to the Rouge Valley Health Centre, Ajax, would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville in the comfort of her family and following a lengthy courageous battle with cancer on Monday, November 1, 2004 in her 57th year.
