Golda passed away peacefully on December 23, 2004 at Hillsdale Estates, Oshawa in her 81st year. She was born on March 13, 1924 in Cornwall to the late Sanford and Norah Emond. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne and her husband Keith Newman and her son Ronald and his wife Pat. Beloved grandmother of Tawni (Steve), Kelly (Steve), Annette (Art) and Tina (Todd) and great grandmother of Jessica, Sarah, Cameron, Christian, Tammy, Robert, Ariel and Heather. Predeceased by her son Roger and grandson Mark. She is also survived by her brothers, sisters, brothers and sisters in law, and many nieces and nephews from Cornwall, Campbellford and in the USA. Funeral service was held on Monday December 27th at 11:30 a.m. Interment Oshawa Union Cemetery. LLOYD, George David
(Lifetime member of RCL Branch 43) With great sadness the family of George Lloyd announces his sudden passing at his home in Oshawa on Thursday, December 23rd, 2004, in his 69th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Elaine (March 2003). Left to mourn the passing of their father are children David Lloyd, Beverley (Phillip) Bilinski and Jennifer (Bill) Rorabeck. Papa's love and generosity will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Verity, Tyrone, Alisa, Katelyn, Dylan and Robyn. George is survived by his sister Ruth (Picton), brothers John (Oshawa), Richard (Pickering) and Doug (Scarborough); his many friends at Oshawa Senior Citizens Centre and life long friend Gordon Convery of Oshawa. At George's request, a private family Interment will take place at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal. Suddenly in Lindsay on December 23rd, 2004. Loving husband of Judy. Loving father of Jandin. Beloved son of Drew and Maureen. Cherished brother of Andrew (Kathrine), Ross (Cindy), Yvonne (David), and Arlene (Peter). Iain will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many family and friends. Although Iain has spent many years in Canada, he was very proud of his Scottish heritage. MACDONALD, Neil
On Tuesday December 21st, 2004, it is with love and grateful hearts we will remember a life well lived. A man of great kindness and courage, a war veteran and family hero has left us. CATHCART, Edward George
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ed. On Monday December 20, 2004 at 7:00 a.m., after a brief but courageous battle against lung cancer, Eddie, with his always devoted and loving wife Joan, of 44 years, holding his hand, he passed away peacefully at home as he wished. Eddie, who was born in Scotland on February 8, 1938, has touched the lives and hearts of many in his 66 years with his kind and always generous ways. None more than his three children, Colin, Mark (Lisa) and Julie (Dan). Beside a great love of cooking for everyone, one of his greatest pleasures in life was his five grandchildren. Missing their Papa deeply are Chantal, Gavin, Nicole, Stephanie and Samantha. They will truly miss the hugs and kisses that were always plentiful in his presence. At his request there will be cremation followed by a private family service. A special thank you to the Saint Elizabeth nurses who were so gentle and kind to him in his last days, also to Durham Access to Care for all their help especially Donalda for her caring ways. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.

Suddenly at home while sleeping on Monday December 20th, 2004 at the age of 46. Beloved husband of Laurie (nee White), Dad of 'Sledge'. Predeceased by his father Ray. Survived by his mother Edith, his sister Penny, brother Peter and his wife Debbie. Sadly missed by nieces Natalie and Nicole and mother & father-in-law Don & Vivian White, sister-in-law Marcia and her partner Paul Herlehy. (Long-time employee of Pentland Jewellers) passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2004, at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia, at age 84. May (nee Nichol) of Port Perry, dearly loved wife of the late Thomas Donnelly. She will be forever loved and sadly missed by her children Eric (Donna) of Prince Albert, Brian (Linda) of Brights Grove and Kathleen (Mike Gervais) of Barrie. Special Grandma to Melissa (Les Durward), Philip, Jennifer, Kristine, Heather and Kevin. May was predeceased by her brothers William, Robert and Kenneth.
