Loving mother of Doreen Bolduc, Carole Otis, Sharon MacGregor, John Carter, Kelly Richard and Kim Walters. Will be fondly remembered by her 13 grandchildren Michael, Leslie, Allan, Lorna, Craig, Lisa, Gary, Christopher, Danielle, Ashley, Stephanie, Brittany and Noelle. FELIX, Carlos Alberto Rodrigues
Peacefully with his beloved wife and best friend Suzanne by his side, Carlos passed away on December 6th, 2004 at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa. Beloved father of Michael (Lori) and Amanda (Paul). Adored and amazing Poppa to Madison, Kayla and namesake Charla. Loved son of Joaquin Jack Felix and the late Beatriz. Beloved brother to Altino (Jane), loving uncle to Kate and Jeff (Shelby). Brother-in-law to Judy and Frank Kovacs (Marmora) and uncle to Frank Jr. (Lynda) and Suzanne. Great Uncle to Tammi and Jason Kovacs. Carlos will be dearly missed by Samm, his yappy dog. He will be mourned by a multitude of family and true friends. He was one of a kind. Born in Portugal on January 23rd, 1945, Carlos came to Canada at the age of 12. He fought his way through Holy Cross, O Neil and McLaughlin schools. He was a 35.5 year General Motors retired employee, where he met some of his life-long friends. Archie was an avid sports person enjoying baseball, hockey, lacrosse, soccer and he loved his Friday afternoon golf with 3 close friends. He was a diehard fan of the Oshawa Generals, Montreal Canadiens and Portuguese soccer and he never let you forget it. Carlos loved his cottage on West Twin Lake, spending time with family and friends, and doing his famous projects. He was above all a man of determination, strength and courage. He fought every battle that came his way; this last mountain was just too high. He is at peace now and if anyone deserves this peace, it is our Carlos. Our deepest gratitude to the angels of 3F and the many doctors who tried so valiantly to save his life and made him comfortable at the end. SEREVETAS, George
It is with great sadness that the family of George Serevetas announces his passing, at home, surrounded by his family on Friday, December 3rd, 2004. George was born in Thermo, Greece in 1932 and immigrated to Canada in 1962 with his loving bride. George had a fulfilling 72 years of life on this earth that he devoted to God and his family. George loved all of his family deeply, with a strong and protective love, and his love was returned to him abundantly. Survived by his loving and devoted wife Joanna, with whom he enjoyed 45 years of being loving soul mates; his three devoted daughters Maria, Demetra, Helen and his three caring sons-in-law, Rob, Tom, Eric; proud grandfather of six loving grandchildren; Yiorgo (Jordan), Gianna, Antoni (Matthew), Christa, Hanna, Yiorgo (Zach). The grandchildren will deeply miss their fun-loving Papoulie with whom they loved to play games. He leaves behind his brother, Ares (Diamanto) who lives in the United States, and his sisters Panagiota (late Kosta) and Tasia (Demetrios) who live in Greece, his sisters-in-law Victoria (Nick), Polyxeni (Tom), Irene (Ares) and brother-in-law Tom (Litsa). Fondly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and his Koumbari. George worked for Dempsters Bread for over 35 years and was a hard-working, respected businessman with a great sense of humour. He had a strong faith in the Lord which helped build strong values in his children and grandchildren; worked endlessly to establish the Greek Orthodox Church in Oshawa located at the corner of Ritson and Bloor Streets. George was an active member of the Church until his final days and served as past Treasurer and past Church President. His presence will be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him dearly.
