After a short illness, at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa, on Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at the age of 78 years. Loving mother of Barbara and her husband Carmen Dow, Patricia Robertson, all of Oshawa, Brenda Manning and her husband Michael of Newmarket, Beverly and her husband Keith Rodrigues of Mississauga and Velma Manning of Barrie. Grandma of Sandra, Anthony, Stuart, Nancy, Michael, Christopher, Alex, Matthew, Jacqueline, Theresa, Robbie, Pamela and Wayne and great-grandma to Carmen, Mark Anthony, Steven, Justin, Tyler, Samantha, C.J., Thomas, Brianna, Nicole and Damian. Sister of Iris Hudd of England and David Hudd of Oshawa. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jean and Len Manning. SOBEL, Isabelle Bernadette
September 10, 1924 - January 5, 2005. Our dear mother and friend passed away peacefully at home in her 81st year surrounded by her family and close friends. Mom was predeceased by her husband Leon, companion Alan Rathbone, and sisters Catherine, Jean and Dorothy. Mom is survived by her sister Lillian, son Alan, daughter in law Susan and grand-daughter Lauren, son David and girlfriend Leanna, son Patrick, and grand-daughter Nicole. Our mother loved life and lived it fully until her passing. We will miss her yet will take comfort in knowing she is now at rest. We'd like to extend our warmest thanks to Dr. Jack Bryant and the nurses of British Columbia At Home Care for their compassionate assistance, which allowed us to fulfill Mom's wish to remain at home. In lieu of flowers, we request donations be made in Mom's honour to the Canadian Cancer Society. With respect to our Mother's wishes, no services will be held.

WELSH, Grace Luella
Peacefully, at her home in Sandford on Wednesday, January 5th, 2005, in her 89th year. Grace, beloved wife of the late Arnold. Dear mother of Wayne and his wife Brenda. Grandmother of Mark and Alexander. Survived by sister Jean Newman and predeceased by sisters Doris and Marjorie and brothers Lloyd and Douglas. Spring Interment. passed away at the age of 72, after a brief illness, on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at Lakeridge Health Centre, Oshawa. Dear wife of the late George Gilewski. Loving mother of Joanne, Diane, Mark, Katherine, Suzanne, and George. Beloved "Babcia" of grandchildren Dennis, Christopher, Adam, Lindsay, Davis, Caley, James, Nicola, Hanna, Olivia, and Isabella. Lovingly remembered by daughters-in-law Carol and Tonja, sons-in-law Don and Martin, sister Millie, brother Stan, sister-in-law Lorraine, and her many nieces and nephews. LOGAN, Donald John
passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at 69 years of age after his 35 year journey with MS. Much loved husband of Lucille. Cherished brother of Helen Thomas (Len). Predeceased by sister Margaret Montgomery. Father of Donald, Tracey, and Perry. Stepfather of Stan Brown (Paula), Cindy Brown Primeau (Matt), Lorraine Brown (Tracy), and Roy Brown (Carol Ann). Loved and remembered by many nieces and nephews. Donations to the Durham Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society in lieu of flowers.

PRITCHARD, Albert Robert
Died peacefully on Tuesday, January 4th, 2005 at Lakeridge Health-Bowmanville. Employee of P.P.G. (Duplate) for 43 years. Albert is survived by his wife Margaret Pritchard (nee Henderson) and her family whom he was close to. Survived also by his daughter Terrie Lynn Vetzal nee Pritchard and her husband Robert. His son Richard Pritchard and his wife Brenda. Also missed by his grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Melanie Vetzal and Santana Pritchard. Albert will be missed by his sister Lillian Bennett, Deana Pritchard, Connie and husband Kelly Scott and Jill and the late husband Ron Turcotte. Predeceased by his brother Aubrey Pritchard, his sister Madge Embury, mother Rachael Stapley and father Robert Pritchard. He will be missed by all his nephews and nieces. SEAMAN, Naomi Alison
Born January 4th, 1924. Died January 4, 2005. Wife of Richard Thomas Seaman (2001); Pefferlaw, Ontario. Alison was born in London, Ontario as Gertrude Ethel Murray and lovingly adopted into the family of Harold Mountain Bradley and Naomi Esther (Stewart) Bradley of Ottawa. She was the mother of David (Barb), Newmarket; Esther (2004) (Mark) Pickering; Charlie (Francine) Vancouver; and Robin, Massachusetts: grandchildren Cory, Adam, Kaitlin, Nikole, David (2000), Greg, Kylie, Hannah and Mariah. Alison was a 50 year member of the Canadian Kennel Club and long time member of the Georgina Kennel Club. The family wishes to thank all of her friends for their kindness and friendship over these many years. Her last wish was to make it to her birthday and she went quietly and peacefully at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Georgina Kennel Club. Her grandmother Emmaline Stewart promised to never leave her, now they are together.

Employee of General Motors, Tool and Die Department, for 39 years. As an avid curler, Lorne was a member of the Oshawa Curling Club. McFARLANE, Margery Valerie
December 19, 1931 January 3, 2005 We regret to announce the death of our dear mother, Margery McFarlane (nee Mallion) in her 74th year. Margery passed away peacefully on January 3, 2005 at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa with her son Jamie by her side. She is predeceased by her husband Gordon Clive (Sam) McFarlane, and her parents Charlie and Margueretta (Houghton) Mallion. She will be sadly missed by her children Anne Louise (Andy), John and Jamie (Penny). Dearly missed by all her grandchildren Valerie (Stephen), Andrea (Craig), Klane (Lisa), Sara, Tyson and Alison. She will be truly missed by her sisters Shirley (Peter), Evelyn (Harold), her brother Charlie, their families, her sister-in-law Lois, her nephews Steven and Bradley and by her lifelong best friend, Jean Hillaby of Ottawa. A special thank you goes to the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa s Emergency Department and the girls on the 8th floor for making our mother s final hours more comfortable. Frank spent five years with the Royal Canadian Engineers, served one year in Newfoundland, six months in Africa and the balance of service years were spent in England. Relatives and friends may call at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with cremation to follow. Donations in memory of April to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
