Peacefully passed away on February 23, 2005 at the Ajax Pickering Hospital in her 98th year. Sadly missed by family and friends and special thanks to the staff and Caregivers of the Ballycliffe Nursing Home.

MONTY, Michael R.
(Professor at Seneca College for 33 years) Suddenly at the family residence, Ajax, on Wednesday, February 23, 2005, Michael, in his 64th year. Beloved husband of Charlotte. Loving father to Kristine. Dear brother of Louise and Donald. Lovingly remembered by his niece and nephew. Funeral Mass at St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church, Bayly St., at Harwood Ave., Ajax on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

PRESCOTT, Mary Agnes (nee Hooey)
(Formerly of Tyrone) Aged 90 years. Peacefully at Extendicare Oshawa, on Wednesday February 23rd 2005. Beloved wife of Earl Prescott. GORDON, Robert
(Long-time resident of Wilmot Creek). Peacefully, and surrounded by his family, at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, in his 80th year. Beloved husband and best friend for 25 years of Yvonne, and predeceased by his dear first wife Connie. Loving Dad of Peter and his wife Ann, Violet and her husband Jim Russell, and the late Robert Jr. Special step-dad to Michele and her husband Kelsey Martin, and Andrea Francis. Loving Grandpa of Jennifer, Andrew, Scott, Christopher, Derek, Taylor-Ann, David, and Dana. Missed also by his family in Scotland and New Zealand, his many friends, and his four-legged companion Charlie. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at the Wheelhouse, Wilmot Creek, on Saturday, March 12, at 2:00 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Humane Society would be appreciated by the family and may be made through NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 1-877-987-3964, with whom arrangements have been entrusted.

(former School Teacher-Hampton Schools) At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Tuesday February 22, 2005 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Dave Hall. Loving mother of Darlene & her husband Clayton Read and the late Kathy Baker. Mother-in-law to John and his wife Margaret Baker. Loving grandmother of Rick, Steve and Trevor Baker, Tanya Szuch, Taralee Clemens and great-grandmother of Michael and Darian Baker and Abigail Szuch. Dear sister of Audrey Young and Dorothy Fishley and sister-in-law of Helen Henry and Dorothea Pierson. Memorial donations may be made to Hampton United Church or Charity of choice.

HILL, Mildred ''Millie'' (nee Moreau)
(Member of the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Auxiliary for over 10 years and director of Lennox and Addington County Hospital Foundation). Suddenly, at her home, on Wednesday, February 22, 2005, in her 77th year. Predeceased by her husband George. Loving mother of Diane Hickman of Newcastle, and Joe Hill (Rosalind) of Florida. Cherished Grandma of Jennifer and Stephanie Hickman. Millie will be missed by her sisters Dorothy (Tom) Sulpher, Pauline (Teddy) Knurek and Elaine (Frank) Okenka and brother Bob (Joene) Moreau. She is predeceased by her brother-in-law Jack Hill and survived by his wife Carole. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. KENDRY, William George "Bill"
(Former owner of Scugog Island Marina and Teacher at Port Perry High School - Tech. Dept.) Peacefully after a short illness, on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 58. Bill Kendry of Blackstock, loving husband of Lynda (nee Geer). Loved father and best friend of Patti and her husband Roger Diotte of Scugog Island. Dear brother of Stanley and George. He will be fondly remembered by the Geer Family. The family of Bill Kendry will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Sunday, February 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Monday, February 28th at 3:30 p.m. with Reverend Walter Kelly officiating. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry or the Deering Family Trust Fund.

KORPELA, Maire Lyydia
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Whitby on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, in her 84th year. Maire, loving wife of the late Martti Korpela of Oshawa. Dear mother of Sinikka Lyberth and her husband Angaangaq of Ottawa, Tim Korpela of Oshawa, and Eva Korpela and her husband Cam Renaud of Calgary. Grandmother of Michael and Laali Echevarria and Luke Renaud. redeceased by her parents Ida and Mikko Kinnunen, sisters Tyyne Nousianen, Aune Pesonen, Helli Kahme, and her brother Vaino Kinnunen. A funeral service will be held at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, (Park Rd. and 401, Oshawa) on Thursday, February 24, at 2:00 p.m., with visiting at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens.

MILLER, Margaret
passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 78. Loving wife of the late Joseph. Cherished mother of Ray (Jane) and Sylvia. Proud grandmother of Michael (Dawn) and Jennifer (Harry). Margaret will be fondly remembered by great grandchildren David and Courtney. Dear sister of Frances, Barbara and the late Joan and John. Margaret will also be sadly missed by many other family members and friends. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

COGHILL, Margaret Clark
passed away at home in her 47th year after her courageous battle with breast cancer. Dearly beloved daughter and best friend of Agnes Coghill and the late Tom Coghill. Dear sister of Alan Coghill (Martha), Tommy Coghill, Dawn Clark (Kent). Loving nieces Candice Holliday, Paige Robertson and step nieces Rachel and Madison and best friend Jo-Ann Jones. HIRST, Daisy (nee Reid)
A resident of Oshawa for 34 years died peacefully on Monday February 21, 2005 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in her 84th year. Daisy was born in Keith, Scotland on April 6, 1921. She married the late Bud Hirst in Belisle Creek, New Brunswick, on April 29, 1939. She was a long time member of St. Stephens United Church. Daisy was predeceased in 1988 by her husband Bud Hirst, and is survived by daughters Wilma Pace and her husband Joe Potipco of Castleton, and Diane and her husband Tom Trenouth of Ottawa, and sons Clayton Hirst and his wife Octavia of Fenelon Falls, Gary Hirst and his wife Barb of Lindsay, Tony Hirst and his wife Carol Anne of London, and the late Allen Hirst. Lovingly remembered by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Dear mother in law of Judy Cple and Francine Hirst. A funeral service will take place on Thursday February 24th at 2pm at St. Stephen s United Church (Taunton and Simcoe). Cremation. Memorial Donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family and may be made through the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street east, Oshawa, (905-433-4711).

KING, James John
Age 57 years. passed away at his home in Oshawa on Monday February 21, 2005. Father of Terri, Dawn, Laurie, Michelle and grandfather of Elizabeth, Brittany, Hillary, Morgan and Michael. HUGHES, Heather Christine
(secretary at Bowmanville High School and previously at Clarke High School). Suddenly at her residence in Orono on Sunday, February 20, 2005, in her 54th year. Heather, loving mother of Amanda of Bowmanville and Lee of Orono, and remembered by their father Edward Morris of Oshawa. Sister of Lynda Scholtz and Ian Hughes, both of Bowmanville. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, and her special four-legged companion Dakota. Following cremation, friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. SEAMAN, Grace Irene
Peacefully on February 20, 2005 in her 76th year. Survived by sisters, Margaret Feaver (Douglas) of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Doris Seaman of Toronto. Aunt of David, John and Peter Feaver and Ruth Green. Grace was born in Shunteh Fu, China of missionary parents, the late Reverend Roy and Gertrude Seaman. Grace attained a B.S.c.N. degree at the University of Toronto School of Nursing. She worked in Public Health Nursing in Oshawa and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oshawa. A memorial service will be held at the CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 300 Rossland Road East, Oshawa on Thursday, February 24th at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Grace's memory may be made to the Overseas Missionary Fellowship, 5155 Spectrum Way, Building #22, Mississauga, ON L4W 5A1.
