Barbara Kathleen Bagshaw, in her 59th year, was the beloved daughter of Beatrice Bagshaw of Uxbridge and the late Lloyd Bagshaw. Dear sister of William & Eleanor Bagshaw of Uxbridge, Linda & Eric Waddilove of Leamington and Douglas & Janet Bagshaw of Pickering. Dearly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased, in January by his loyal companion, Chester his Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Private Family services were held at Thornton Crematorium. VICTOR, Joseph C. Q.C.
1917 2005 Peacefully, at Toronto General Hospital, after a brave fight against impossible odds, Joe passed away on Easter Sunday, March 27th, 2005. Dearly beloved husband and very best friend of Leyone, (nee Newell), loving father of Joseph (Cindy) of Picton, and Leon (Linda), of Cambridge. Grandfather of Carole Simard, Ann Victor, Darin and Charles Victor, and Vicky Harrison. Great grandfather of Dylan Victor, Jana and David Simard. Also survived by his sister, Victoria Budchuk and his brother, Gerald Victor, both of Hamilton, Ontario. Will be greatly missed by stepchildren, Terrie (David) Latimer, and Scott Duncan. Adored Poppa of Greg and Kelly Latimer, and Leyanne Duncan. Predeceased by his wife, Dolores (Krantz).
Joe was born in Toronto to Charles and Josefa Victor, and moved to Oshawa at a young age. He attended Ritson Road Public School and OCVI (now O Neill). For the next 20 years, he became involved in the retail trade as proprietor of Victor s Sports & Cycle. In 1935 he formed the Victor Cycling Club and in the following years this organization brought many honours to the City and became known as one of the leaders in the development of racing cyclists.
During WWII, he was a member of the Armed Forces, holding the rank of a non-commissioned officer as a tank instructor with the Canadian Armoured Corps. In 1955 Joe returned to School at University of Toronto (University College) obtaining his BA in 1958 and then on to Osgoode Hall to obtain his Bachelor of Laws in 1961. He articled with Creighton, Fraser, Drynan & Murdoch and was called to the Bar in 1963. He became a partner in that firm in 1965 and was appointed a Queen s Counsel in 1975. The firm is now known as Creighton Victor Alexander Hayward Morison & Hall LLP.
Throughout his life, Joe was involved in community affairs. He was a City Alderman (1951 1955), a member of the Executive of the Kinsmen Club of Oshawa, President and Life Member of Oshawa Minor Hockey Association, President and Life Member of Oshawa Minor Softball Association, Honourary Vice-President of the Gen. W. Sikorski Polish Veterans Association, Vice-President and Life Member of the Canadian Wheelmen s Association (now Canadian Cycling Association), and a member of Regional, Provincial and Federal Bar Associations.
In keeping with Joe s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral. Arrangements entrusted to ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME Limited. In memory of Joe, and honouring his love of the outdoors and nature, donations to Friends of the Second Marsh, 1908 Colonel Sam Drive, PO Box 26066, Oshawa, Ontario L1H 1C0, would be appreciated, to assist in preserving and keeping this natural habitat for future generations.
Interment of ashes and a celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.

With great sadness we announce the passing of Ralph. Surrounded by family he peacefully left us at age 75 on Friday, March 25th, 2005. Beloved husband of Amy and supportive father of Fred (Sandy), John (Adrienne), Geoffrey (Tracey) and Keith (Sandra). Predeceased by his parents Ralph and Hilda of Birkenhead, England. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Jonathan, Christopher, Philip, Jaclyn and Nicholas. Survived by his sister Mavis, niece Joyce of Campbellville and his Aunty Betty of Willaston, England. He will be remembered by sisters-in-law Cecelia (Jim and daughter Cecelia) and Peggy (Pat and son John) and their families in Liverpool, England, Doreen (Tom and children Alistair, Shona) of Oshawa. Born in Birkenhead, England on June 15, 1929, Ralph immigrated to Toronto in 1966 to join Canada Wire & Cable as Plant Manager, Leaside, retiring while working for their International Division. While an Englishman at heart he loved his life in Canada. Ralph will be remembered for his love of hosting a party, telling stories and jokes and being the Grandad who could fix the broken toy. We wish to thank the nursing teams in the ICU and 4th Floor at Lakeridge Health Centre Oshawa with a special thanks to Dr. Donna Birbrager for her caring and compassion. A private cremation and service has taken place with final resting place at Landigam Cemetery on the Wirral Peninsula, England. In memory, contributions to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.

passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Pickering, Ontario on March 25, 2005 at the age of 39 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
