passed away quietly in his sleep at Community Nursing Home, Pickering on August 7, 2005 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Doris for over 60 years. Cherished father of Peter and his wife Sandy, and Jo-Ann and her husband Mike Dudar. Proud grandfather of Karrie, Kelly, Kathy; Jennifer and her husband Peter Wilson, Lesley Dudar and her fiance Derek Edwards; and great granddaughter Charlotte Wilson. Dear brother of Willard and his wife Eloise, Marg and her husband Norm, Betty and her husband Gene, Dorothy and her late husband George and brother-in-law of Violet and her husband Cec King. HART, Barbara
It is with a heavy heart but a positive spirit that the Hart family confirms the passing of the very brave Barbara Mary Hart. Barb endured a long and nasty battle with Multiple Sclerosis and it was just this past Sunday that the disease finally took more of her than she had left. Barb will forever be remembered for her amazing spirit and humanity. She saw the best in everyone and was an appreciative audience for someone trying to be funny. Barb had an incredible skill for never taking herself seriously and yet forgiving those who did. She loved her family ferociously and in particular admired her three older sisters Donna, Nancy, and Susan for the happy and successful lives they led. A very special thanks and acknowledgement to Marg Hart, Barb’s guardian angel these past several years. Barb will be permanently in the souls of not only her three sisters and Marg, but also brothers-in-law Barry, Kevin, Doug, and Ed; step sister Karen, step brother Dale; sister-in-law Jenny; nieces Kaitlyn, Emily, Laura, Grace, and Stephanie; nephews Ryan, Clarke, Graham, Brent, Ethan and David. Barb was predeceased by her mother Elenor Hart in 1972 and father Donald Hart in 1999. JOHNSON, Dr. Albert Edward (Ted)
( Born in Hamilton) 1912 – 2005 After a full and rewarding life in Oshawa, Ted passed away at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late May Regan. Dearly loved father of Carolyn and her husband Bob Crowson (Kingston) and Bob and his wife Jane Johnson (Oshawa). Devoted Papa to Geoff, Marney and Shelley Crowson and Damien and Bretton Johnson. Papa will be sadly missed by great granddaughters Holly and Emily Crowson and the whole Johnson family (77 club). By his example, Ted taught our family to love life, take a keen interest in history and to value friendships old and new. He was a wonderful artist, an enthusiastic supporter and life member of the Durham Rowing Club, and a staunch member of St. George’s Anglican Church, Scottish Rite and Lebanon Lodge. He was a lifetime member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Oshawa (65 years), member of the Oshawa Golf Club for over 50 years and proud volunteer of Camp X, the Wedgewood Club and the Lung Association. Above all, Ted will be remembered for his dedication to optometry where he cared for families in Oshawa for over 60 years.
