With great sorrow the family of Iris announces her passing at Hyland Crest Nursing Home, Minden on Monday, September 26th, 2005, at the age of 83 years. She was the beloved wife of the late William McInnes (Bill) Brentnall who predeceased her in 1986. Dear mother of Carol Brentnall and her husband Larry Pratt of Haliburton and Alan and his wife Janie of Oshawa. Loving Gram of Steven, Robert (Sharon), Nicole (Rob), Tracy (Shane) and Lisa (Mark). Dearest Great-gram to Christopher, Erika, Sarah, Alysha, Dianna, Robert Jr., Connor, Eric, Nicola and Emma. Predeceased by her sister Elizabeth and her two brothers John and David. Iris was a resident of Scarborough for many years, coming to Oshawa in 1990. She had been a resident of Thorntonview Long Term Care for the past three years and just recently moved to Minden. VEENHOF, LAURA EMMA
(Nee: Kinsman) March 15th, 1928 - Sept 26th, 2005. It is with great sadness that the family announce the quiet passing of Laura Veenhof at her home in Courtice on Monday September 26th after a short illness. Laura was the loving and dear wife of the late Henry (Hank) Veenhof and the beloved mother of Beverly Dilworth, her husband Peter, and cherished grandmother of Adam, Alexandra and Jameson. Fondly remembered stepmother of Dianne Fitchett (Kevin) and Sandra Neubauer and Grandma of John and Allen. A lifetime resident of Oshawa, Laura was the daughter of the late Hellen and George Kinsman and sister of the late Leonard Kinsman. She is survived by her sister-in-law Elaine Kinsman. Laura will be sadly missed by her lifelong friends Jean and Jack Hawe with whom she spend many happy times. The family are gratefully declining flowers but are welcoming donations in Laura's memory to Hearth Place Oshawa or Ebenezer United Church Cemetery Upkeep Fund (Courtice).

HONSBERGER, Karen (nee Davidge)
passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday September 25, 2005 at the age of 57. Predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend Robert. Proud and devoted mother of Scott (Danielle) and Kelly (Beth). Adoring grandmother of Abby. She is survived by her loving sister Lynn Lovekin. Karen will be deeply missed by her extended family and many friends. She was a Teacher/Librarian at Highbush Public School in Pickering. She was a passionate participant in Dragon Boating (Cobourg Survivor Thrivers and Forest Brook Dragons), and Legion 606 Ladies Slow Pitch. She was also very involved in the life of Forest Brook Community Church. The funeral service will be held at the new location of Forest Brook Community Church (60 Kearney Drive, Ajax) on Wednesday September 28, 2005 at 11:00a.m. The family would like to thank Dr. Grossman, Dr. Lickley, and Dr. Zelewski, Chaplain Sheila Ellis and the wonderful nurses in the Oncology and Palliative Care Units at Scarborough Grace Hospital. LITKE, Dorothy Violet
Peacefully on 23 September 2005, of cancer, in her 77th year, at Lakeridge Whitby, with Donna, Debbie and Bob providing comfort. Dorothy, from Beausejour MB, lived in Burlington, Huntsville, Tillsonburg and latterly at the Court at Brooklin. She is fondly remembered by brother George (Beatrice), sisters Hannah and Eleanor (Roy), 15 nieces and nephew, their spouses and countless friends. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Beausejour. The family is very grateful to the complex continuing care staff at Lakeridge Whitby for tending to Dorothy with love and tenderness for two months. After spending her final days surrounded by family, Pat passed away peacefully in her daughter s home on Friday, September 23, 2005 at the age of 65 years. Beloved wife of the late George Restivo. Loved daughter of the late Frank and Gladys Blair, loving mother of Gord and his wife Wanda, Kim, Jan and her husband Brian, Proud Grandma of Katie, Ben, Shawna, Brett, Ty and Michael. Sadly missed by her brothers Chuck (Annie), Dusty (Lil) and the late Danny and all the Blair Family in Fort Erie. Dear friend and niece Terri will always cherish special moments at the lake. Loved daughter in law of Sam Restivo, treasured sister in law of Linda, Bill and his wife Diana, Susan and her husband Gerry, and niece Brianne.
