NUTTALL, Bertha Mae (nee Stephenson)
passed away peacefully on the eve of December 14, 2005 in her 90th year, in the beautiful care home, Walnut Grove . Bertha was married to Mark Nuttall (deceased 2002) and previously to Leslie M. Dier (deceased 1958). Survived by her daughter, Patricia J. Ruddy (Dier) and loving son in law Robert John. Survived as well by her grandchildren William Leslie and his wife Tamara, Michael Ruddy and Matthew Ruddy and great grandson, William Robert. Bertha was pre-deceased by her sister Marion Stephenson (Edmondson) and husband Harold; sister Wilma Stephenson & husbands George Mepstead and Art Wright; as well as loving brother James Cecil Stephenson survived by his wife Patricia Stephenson and former wife Klara Lockhart. Bertha is survived by her loving and closest friend, Helen Piatti (Proctor). Bertha was a long time retired employee of General Motors, Parts and Service Department. She was a life member of the Rebecca Lodge. She attended both Simcoe Street and Kingsview United Church. Many thanks to Rev. Craig Donnelly for his care and support. Many, many thanks for the loving kindness and extreme 24 hour care provided by all the staff at Walnut Grove Sylvia (owner), Brenda RPN, Heather, Lou, Suzanne, Janet, Tetyana, Carol, Kelly, Kerri and all others. A warm thank you to Dr. Patrick Irwin for his vigilance and compassionate care. A special thank you from the family to long time companion, friend and respite (hospice) nurse Judith Brown, for her continued support and loving care of Bertha over the years. Peacefully at Ballycliffe Retirement Home, Ajax, on the 14th of December 2005. Florence May Simons in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband Ernest Calvert and by her husband Frank Simons. Mrs Simons was a long time Member of Pickering Village United Church, a member of the Eastern Star and in her younger days a devoted member of the U.C.W. A memorial service to celebrate her life, followed by a U.C.W reception tea (that she requested) will be held in early January at Pickering Village Untied Church at a time to be announced. NILES-BOYES, Theresa (Tina)
passed away peacefully on December 13, 2005 at the age of 52, after a short and courageous battle with Cancer at the Lakeridge Health Hospital in Oshawa, where she was employed for over 20 years as an X-Ray Technician. She left us quietly with her loving husband Mark and her good friend Gale by her side. Theresa was, a loving mother to daughter Carly and to son Shane; a beautiful daughter of George and Dorothy Niles; a wonderful sister and sister in-law to Mike (Claudia) Niles, Andy (Barbara) Niles, Denis (Brenda) Niles, Diane (Ray) Kopp, Mark (Annette) Niles, Bart Boyes and Debbie Woods and caring aunt to Paul, Ryan, Jennifer, Breanne, Christopher, Steven, Amber, Chelsy, Bill and Dillon. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday December 17, 2005 at 11:00 am at Paroisse Assomption De Notre-Dame Church, 384 Hillside Ave., Oshawa, Ont.
